Since the issue with the jet black and "micro abrasions"has anyone found out how and if this will effect us next year when trading the phone in for the 7s/8?
No different from the older iPods and iPhone 3G/3GS. Just depends on how abused it is. Resale shouldn't really be affected.

I think it does. I've been reading that absolutely no AT&T retail locations will be receiving any jet black pluses on launch day.

If any store were to have them, they would be the Apple stores and from what I've been gathering, I doubt they will have any either. Maybe that one slips through the country at one specific store lol.

It even seems like those people waiting in line will have alittle shock themselves. Most of the launch day stock is for IUP Reservation customers.

I think people will be more pissed when they see there is no Jet Black and decide "Well Matte Black does look great too, I'll take that in 7+ please!"

"Sorry sir/ma'am, we don't have stock of that either."

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple is pulling every piece of retail stock they can find to have available for IUP folks that couldn't get orders processed last Friday.

Lol I'm beginning to think Apple underestimated their own fan base. Given the redundant design and lack of headphone jack, Apple probably thought they would have a lackluster (still better than others lol) year.

I have a buddy who works at an AT&T store, and he said that they are thinking of putting a note on the door stating something like "no Jet Black iPhones are expected to be in stock, wait in line at your own discretion"

Don't know if they will or can actually do that but it would save people a lot of time and anger lol.

About 75% of the stock is reserved for IUP customers.

Most carrier stores will only have about 4-5 phones per store.

There were numerous manufacturing problems. But, Apple never guaranteed them on launch day.
