I mean, we do need a little bit of reality though because come tomorrow anyone here who is preparing to ship, including myself will be suffering crippling disappointment if a phone does not come in the mail.
Apple's system is being a little conservative with the first round. Really, our dates should of been the 16th with all others moving up.

Because Apple doesn't update the system.
Apple never ships anything slower than 2nd day air. And phones always ship overnight this close to launch. I've done this every year for 8 years now.
I think the clear cases are great if your phone is a baseball card. Why not just get a jet black case

Maybe some.. Preparing to ship and being charged means were in the home stretch now. Tomorrow would be freaking awesome but we have it made now.

My status was updated form sept 26-oct 3rd to sept 23-30. There definetly was a system update. Come on man I'm just looking for a reason to step away from my computer tonight!! Lol
Heres what I'm thinking, maybe Apple has phones here in the U.S. right now at some of there centers. So maybe the reason it seems preparing to ship notices don't seem to be based on time order was placed is because its based on location. I believe Apple has some sort of center in Pittsburgh (or at least somewhere around there) that they do repairs at and have storage. I live in Buffalo, UPS could certainly overnight me a product from Pittsburgh by truck... Just a thought.
And you are? I just know from previous experience that a label is created by apple and you can track though my choice or reference long before you see shipped. Not going to argue with you, I am rooting for you to be right. There are just usually things you can check before they ship.
I already have one of those for my 6s Plus. Why don't I just get crafty with some scissors and keep that? I mean, why not just do that?

I'd love to believe I'll get my phone tomorrow, but I just don't see it.
I've been given no chance to pre-sign, no chance to change UPS delivery to hold it at center...none of my tracking searches are working in either Fed-ex or UPS...and yes, most of these phones ship directly from China so the path would've been started by now. My guess is early next week, likely Tuesday/Wednesday.
I'd love to be wrong in this case, but I like to have some evidence helping me to believe something rather than 100% hope. If the launch date wasn't tomorrow, and all of this happened...I'd expect early to mid next week. No evidence to the contrary at this point, so that's what i'm expecting. Still much sooner than the Sept 26th-Oct 3rd dates I was getting.

Has anyone with an 2:05 CT confirmation email (5 mins after pre-order) recieved a status change? Specifically the 128 ATT? I don't know why mine has been updated yet and am still stuck in processing hell.
It's actually just morning in China. They can ship these out soon but I agree we should see something eventually

For the Apple watch mine went to preparing for shipping at like 1am eastern the day before launch and I got it so I'm hopeful. My brother and I both ordered 128gb jb and his is preparing for shipping and mine is processing. I ordered 3:10am eastern and he did a few minutes before
I believe thw watch charges would go through during the night we I was following them
