500GB HDD option, finallly. Quite expensive though.

Back to school has started as well. And presumably we can expect new iPods mid september... ;)

also the battery life has been extended to 5 hours like it is with the unibody.

Excellent! Was planning on buying one in about a month anyway!

Seems that the white MB is a real alternative to the unibody now. Maybe apple will make a bigger deal of updating others at WWDC but, as many have said, that is usually software heavy.

Waiting for the UK store to show the update...

Why spend $300 more for the 2.0GHz unibody MacBook vs the updated 2.0GHz white Macbook? For 200 grams more, with a TFT vs backlit LED screen, you even get a FW port.

They're still calling the current unibody 13" Macbook new on the site, but maybe they'll bump the curent uMB. The site has the buy a Mac for college promo.

So
White MB = 55-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery
13" uMB = 45W
15" MBP = Removable 50W hr
17" MBP = Built-in 95W hr

i think the logo you're referring to is on the mainpage over the macbook family, but if you click on it, the "New" Tag is only on the white macbook right now (not the unibodies)

also, was the gpu upgraded to 9400m?

and, 500gb option on the white but not unibodies?

I think everybody should be sorry now, when they questioned few guys who started thread about an expected update on the 27th. Particularly a guy "newbie" who started a thread few days ago, saying that he heard from somebody who works in an apple store that a surprise product is coming on the 27th, and i recall he said "if iphone upgrade is a valentine, the surprise upgrade is Christmas". Thanks newbie for the info :D
