I bet they're going to update the rest of the MacBook line in a few months. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Apple is intentionally trying to make the WhiteBook a better deal just to clear out the rest of their inventory.

That makes no sense, as they are making a new updated model.
If they wanted to clear them out, they wouldn't be making more of them.
I know there's a thread somewhere but I tried searching and couldn't find any results so I thought I'd ask here. I noticed that the Whitebook refresh includes 800MHz memory. Will that same memory also be recognized as 800MHz and run at that speed on the earlier '09 Whitebooks? Will upgrading to that memory reduce battery life or make the machine run hotter?
Yes it works. I'm not sure about battery life, but I doubt the change would be noticeable. As far as heat goes, I doubt you'd ever notice it running too hot. If it were too noticeable, I doubt Apple would officially support it.
I think everybody should be sorry now, when they questioned few guys who started thread about an expected update on the 27th. Particularly a guy "newbie" who started a thread few days ago, saying that he heard from somebody who works in an apple store that a surprise product is coming on the 27th, and i recall he said "if iphone upgrade is a valentine, the surprise upgrade is Christmas". Thanks newbie for the info![]()
Where is this rumor info?if the rumors of a 13" Macbook Pro are true,
