It'll be a miss for me just like it was this year. That phone is atrocious.

Phones, tablets, computers, CPUs, etc., are constantly evolving, so there is always some reason(s) to wait.

If we continuously wait for the next generation, we would never own these devices.

And probably save so much money we could invest. And not waste our lives on our phones.

It’s a chApple Silicone MagSafe case.

New battery coming in December I think.

I was lucky to get the very nice leathercase with my mini from start, which ages very nicely.
Another reason to hold on to the mini as long as possible - it's a good grip with leather 😉

But, it's not available in the US. You've to visit Europe, Asia or Africa, or maybe Mexico.

They are so far ahead Apple in the software department that its amusing.
While Apple touts their "ecosystem" smoke all day, some of these third party phones already offer better and easier integration with Apple devices than Apple themselves.

I'm totally with you on that one, but unfortunately I highly doubt that Crook will relase another mini.
But my mini is young and vibrant, so I can wait to see what will happen on the fold and flip evolution.
If not with Apple, Samsung are maybe a better next phone for me.

In the modern sense, anything sub 6.1" basically would be "mini" anyhow - lol

I'll take whatever I can get that's smaller than a patio paver or a tapas plate in my pocket.

I don't judge anyone who likes and bought the new 17 Pro line.
But to me - this is the ugliest phone design Apple has ever created and released.


And the Orange is the worst....


Again - this is about tastes, but it doesn't resonate with me at all....
I won't be upgrading to 18 Pro if it stays like this...

Ugliest design ever? Really? It’s basically the same rectangle we’ve been staring at for half a decade with one new paint job and a larger camera bump. If this is where the line is drawn, I’m impressed you survived the last five generations. The orange might not be for everyone, but pretending Apple suddenly reinvented hideous here is a stretch. Put a case on it and boom crisis averted.

Here is your daily reminder that you DON'T NEED that new phone. I mean you can spend your money however you want but to me personally it is a waste of money annually. I prefer a 3-year upgrade cycle.

you speak the truth. frankly, what app developer is going to exclude a phone from 3 years ago? or even 5 years ago? unless its specialized phone hardware, and even then game developers will support it, but not require it.

I miss my old HTC One m8 windows. That phone had near 5 days of phone usage. iPhone 16 ? 1 1/2 days on my current usage pattern.

Why would we need a dynamic island for an under-display camera?

Why would they retain easily the worst feature of the camera control (pressure sensitivity), instead of the gestures which are actually useful for zooming?

I don't see any reason to wait for the new iPhone from Apple, whether it's the 18 Pro or 19 Pro, as their features will likely already feel outdated, maybe even ancient. Sorry!

But, I'd wait for a new macOS...
