I love my country a lot. Alas, I'll have to fess up that we Americans occasionally pee in the sandbox.![]()

This is cool. It looks like Apple will be offering a 32gb model come June. That is if they plan to keep to options available.
Is this a real memo? It seems as if Carphone Warehouse is more concerned about sales than with standard American grammar and punctuation.
Yes. 80% population coverage is about 25% land coverage. What that means is that coverage drops out outside of the cities, on motorways etc. 3G phones fall back to 2G coverage. You think 80% of the population of Europe is "poor"???
I agree that GPRS coverage is slow, but when you have EDGE, it's enough. Why is 3G essential on the iPhone? Email? is that too slow? Web browsing? It's not like you use the iPhone for downloading torrents or files, it's a handheld device with a small screen. And no, EDGE is way too slow for the iPhone.

I'm guessing that in the UK 'spelled' is spelled 'spelt'?![]()

Main Entry (2):
spelt
Pronunciation:
\ˈspelt\
chiefly British past and past participle of spell
Yes, but in the US, companies are considered to be singular. Example:
Jewel Foodstores is having a sale....
and don't forget that at 80% population (25% land) coverage, the networks have met their license obligations for 3G, and have stopped rolling out more base stations, so coverage is unlikely to improve. It's not economically viable to get 100% land coverage, unless you want telephone bills to dramatically increase!

This is horrible news for those people wanting an 8GB phone.![]()
Ha! me too! Im selling mine the instant the 3G is for sale.
My prediction:
16GB - $399
32GB - $499
iPhone G5 next Tuesday?
It does seem odd that there was a mad push to get these things sold. If the 3G release was going to be June, why not let them more slowly trickle out?
I think Apple will release it 1-2 weeks ahead of WWDC so that the conference can highlight specific features that are able to utilize 3G - maybe video chat etc.
"maybe Apple has pulled the plug on O2 because of their price reduction stunt?"
it was Apples idea.
i amost ran out and bought a 8GB one when they dropped the price but ive been waiting for 3G for ages besides my credit card is full with my new 37" Samsung HDTV![]()
u mean empty
![]()
Huh? No, he means full. If a product has x capacity and you filled it to it's capacity it is "full", not "empty."
