I'll probably go with 128GB in Silver.

I'll also go for a Silicone Case & Smart Cover, in Stone.

I think the price of the new iPad is decent (considering I paid £659 for my aging iPad 4!) but the case & cover are ridiculously overpriced.

But they are a necessity. Especially with the protruding camera!

Anyway, I'll be ready at 8AM this Thursday.

Are you pre-ordering?

If so, what are you going with?

I'm going to be pre-ordering the 256GB Rose Gold Wi-Fi+Cellular. I'm not going to get the Smart Keyboard case at least not for now as it's pretty expensive and I'm not sure how I will get along with the keyboard. As it's the same size as the iPad Air 2 I'll probably continue using the cases and smart cover I have for it as they should work. I've got a Logitech bluetooth keyboard for my iPad Air 2 which I'm hoping will also work. I've already ordered an Apple Pencil today in preparation as well as because if the demand is great on preorder day it might be hard to get.

Do you not think that using it without a rear case will be jarry, and "rocky" with that protruding camera?

I'm in! I will be ordering 32gb Space Grey - I'm see-sawing a little bit on the Pencil! Can someone remind me the returns policy if I buy the pencil and then want to return it? How long have I got etc?

As for a case I plan on getting a clear TPU or ideally a poly carbonate case for the back to use along with the Smart Cover I already have. I can't use any existing cases for the back made for the iPad Air 2 as they don't have the cut out for the smart connector. I have a Logitech folio type case which if it fits in that I might use temporarily until I get something better. I'll just have to see how it goes once I get the new iPad and take it from there.

You have 14 days to return a product if bought directly from Apple.

I currently have the original Air so I'll be buying the 128gb WiFi Pro in Space Grey for £619. This is the biggest upgrade to an iPad ever I think. Since I'll be spending that amount of money on an iPad, I think I'll be keeping it for 4 years. Normally I upgrade my iPad every 2 years. CANT WAIT!

Oh, almost forgot, I'll be reserving on Thursday to pick up in store.

You're assuming there will be a reserve and pick up option on Thursday. We don't know if there will be or not yet.
 
I'm on the fence. Currently have 32gb Air 1 and really hoped for a 64gb version of new pro. Don't really want to spend £619 on the 128gb but keep running out of space with current 32gb !

I'm in the same boat but figured if I keep this iPad for longer seeing as its more expensive then it would justify the price. Plus if your struggling for storage the best option is probably to get the 128gb model instead of transferring stuff on and off of the device.

probably in for the 32GB. Either that or buy a used 12" pro for the same price.

colour has to be black. The laminated display works better with black as with the white bezels you have a little black rim around the screen, which is much less noticable with black bezels.

Probably just go with the product red smart cover assuming the standard ipad air covers work?

Not planning on getting a keyboard. Didn't like the feel of the larger one, and the smaller one will be more difficult to type on like old netbooks.

Already ordered a pencil to avoid any issues with stock suddenly running out on March 31st.


Main thing now is how to get hold of it. Might order online because its the easter hols so the kids are at home next week..

I think anyone who is definitely getting one of these as well as the Pencil should buy the Pencil now to be on the safe side. You have 14 dos to return it anyway if need be.

I've been debating upgrading my iPad 3 for the last year or so, this might be enough to push me into making a decision :D I think I'll be the owner of a 128GB rose gold in the next few weeks.

Was all set to purchase one, really excited when they announced the 256gb version finally.

USB 2 speeds still? Okay...next year then. What a waste.
 
I am definitely Team Pro, Apple pencil beckons :). That said 'am not entirely sold on the new storage strategy:(I have a 64GB Air 2 ; 32GB is not my cup of tea whilst 128GB is totally OTT. But it is what it is, my thinking cap is back on

64gb would have been perfect for me. Considering I use about 30gb. But seeing how Apple have played it. I'll have to get a 128gb. It is what it is.

Very jealous of the prices the Americans will be paying!
