Thousands of Emoji and I still can't opt to be returned to the inbox when deleting a message from the mail app rather than moving to the next message.

Finally I'll be able to send this!

? Who said anything about artists designing them? Fire the emoji artists and hire more people that do hardware, fix bugs, etc.

Obviously apple sees more need to have emoji artists creating new emoji’s.

We need a “ I’m sick of people who are dumb enough to think anyone really believes emoji artists work on everything” emoji. Otherwise known as the “I’m sick of people lncapable of coherent thought” emoji”.

Except firing the emoji artists won't suddenly make qualified people show up in other areas. Look on their site, they're always hiring .

Frankly, there could be a great many more emotions displayed on the extremely popular 'smiling turd.'

Why Apple WHY?? Nobody I know uses emojis except very sparingly (which is how it should be). If I got a text from somebody loaded with these I'd just ignore it. I'd rather learn Esperanto.

The people that use them aren't the people that use MacRumors.

They're off on Instagram and Facebook taking pictures of pancakes.

Red hair, no hair, innocence, awkwardness, impunity, and a picture of you.

In before the complaints that Apple’s emoji artist should be fixing bugs, doing QA and/or designing the hardware for the AirPower, an updated Mac Mini or iMac.
I am agree , one of the iOS app that Apple never taking care of is the weather because according it’s powered by the weather channel company but there is a bug and isn’t synced iOS weather app shows a different weather info than the weather channel
[doublepost=1538710607][/doublepost]By the way there is a bunch of people that never using the messages app because they are using WhatsApp app

The more they add such bloat without possibility to turn it completely off, the more I think about changing platform. The only problem at this moment is I don't see anywhere else to go.

Is there an “I’m sick of people complaining about emojis” emoji? Or an “I’m sick of people thinking artists design hardware, write software, fix bugs or do QA” emoji?
I actually wouldn't mind if someone started a serious movement to wind the emoji clock back a decade or two - let's go back to having maybe a couple dozen, and just... leave the rest by the wayside - no more trying to properly represent each possible combination of attributes in a human, just have generic bright yellow (or green, or something else distinctly non-representational) faces showing a handful of basic emotions. If you want to express more complex ideas just use, you know, words. Before there even were emoji, we had emoticons, and, yes, people invented random ones (they were not encoded into an internet standard), but you could get by quite happily with, say, less than ten, used to specify the emotional tone of a phrase, sentence, or message:

:- ) happy
:-( sad
:-D grinning
:-o surprised
;-) winking
:- P frustrated or playful, sticking out tongue
:-/ confused, hmm, good/bad
:-| indifferent

If someone wanted to start a serious movement to get society as a whole to reject the proliferation of Emoji (some movement to make Emojis seem uncool to everyone, the way that, say, smoking is no longer generally seen as cool - not like it was in the 40's/50's), to go back to having a couple dozen faces (and then not adding more), I'd cheerfully sign on (I'm not going start such a movement myself, because, I'll mostly just ignore the Emojis). Unicode is an amazing thing, a single standard character set that the entire world can use. It's a seriously huge improvement over the mishmash of incompatible standards that came before it. Continually flinging new handfuls of just-invented pictographs into it "because they seem like fun", or "if X and Y then why not Z?" is just gumming up the serious point of having a universal character set.
