iOS 9: keeping you addicted to that app you have to play daily.
The most annoying thing about using an iPhone in my car (a Mini Cooper) is, it always starts playing the same song no matter what I've been listening to. I can be listening to Spotify, an Audible book or other track in music app with headphones, i get into car, plug into USB and the first song starting with A, By artist starting with A on album starting with A begins to play. If iOS 9 sorts this I'll be happy
Actually it does. May be part of ios 9, but I thought it was available in earlier versions. Anyway, when you set up a calendar appointment, one of the alert options is to set it for "Time to Leave."It does that already on my old iPhone 4S in iOS 8 just under the weather but over my calender appointments on the screen that you pull down from the top.
But i like that they improve on it! Looking forward to this Apple! Would be great if it would do this against the appointments in the calender, for instance "23 minutes to the gym. Better get a move on! And take this route instead of your usual due to road works."
? Apple is much better than Google at adding features to iOS 9!
Yes! I have the same issue, and my problem is that my music has a song simply called A, that is just a background track of I Got Rhythm changes in the key of A.The most annoying thing about using an iPhone in my car (a Mini Cooper) is, it always starts playing the same song no matter what I've been listening to. So they should just give up and not develop new software to improve the user experience on their own platform? By your logic, there would be no Apple Maps, Apple Music or even Siri integration.
From the way you ask I'd guess Apple? But what is so special about this policy? Obviously Apple has to collect location data to provide location services. While I agree that it's nice to know the Proactive Suggestions supposedly don't require sharing data with Apple, I'd like to ask you: Where do you think the following verbiage comes from? Google, MS or Apple?
"By using any location-based services on your <redacted> Device, you agree and consent to <redacted> and its partners', licensees' and third party developers’ transmission, collection, maintenance, processing and use of your location data and queries to provide and improve such products and services."
It only works if you connect to your cars bluetooth audio.Perhaps it only works if you have opened up your privacy settings and allow all your data and activities to be shared with Apple.
I get no suggestions on the latest public beta. Is this a settings thing or am I just the 1 in 1.000.000 that doesn't have common habits?!
Can proactive suggestion help score me some nookie?
that is so fetchQuit trying to make Apple Maps happen.
I agree. Used Apple Maps to go from NH to DC, and it was great. Same routes offered as Google Maps. Even alerted me to delays, and re-routes.
Not sure what the reason for all the hate is about...?

No matter how much you like the song, you'll end up hating itthis is my nightmare. i have one song on my phone and i use spotify for everything else. i usually only plug in for podcasts or gps, but as soon as i do, that one song starts playing. and i hate the song
Every morning when I plug in my headphones, it opens up the music app. Simple enough.
Proactive also noticed I walked in to a Starbucks and opened up the app so I could pay. It was a nice gesture and I'm looking forward to seeing other proactive features

I am very skeptical if I will like this feature. Seems a bit creepy on one side and uncontrollable on the other. I like to control precisely what my computer does and why he does it.
This happens to me too but only in my wife's car but not the one I drive. I think it's a Bluetooth protocol thing in the car and it is SUPER annoying.
