Welcome to yet another ravenvii game! As you probably expect from a ravenvii game, this one is gonna be... different.

Without further ado, here's the game rules:

Preliminaries:

Before going into the meat of the rules, I want to emphasize one important rule: THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO PMs BETWEEN PLAYERS DURING THE GAME. PMs will occur ONLY between the player and the GM. No exceptions!

Additionally, this game requires participation to work. So I will enforce the dreaded "lost in the woods" rule. I apologize in advance for having to do this. :)

1. If a vote did not reach majority by the deadline, the players who did not vote will get a strike.
2. If a team leader does not choose a team in a timely manner (by the deadline), he/she will receive a strike, this will count as a "nay" vote, and the next leader on the list will assume leadership.

Two strikes will cause a player to get "lost in the woods", or kicked out of the game.

The Game:

In this game, there will be 10 players. 6 will be members of the Agency (the good guys). 4 will be members of the Infiltration (the bad guys). The infiltrators will know who the other infiltrators are (but cannot PM each other). The Agency do not know who the infiltrators are.

The game will occur in turns. There are a maximum of five turns -- each turn could end in a point being given to the Agency or the Infiltration -- the first team to win three points total wins the game.

The players will be sorted via random.org into a order that will remain throughout the game. The first player on the list will be the team leader for that turn. Then the next player will become team leader, and so on. If/when the end of the list is reached, the list will wrap, and the first team leader will assume leadership again. This continues until the game ends.

The turns will play out as in the diagram below:

Notes:

1. The team leader must choose 5 players (not including himself/herself) to form a team.

2. The vote to proceed with a mission is via a majority vote.

3. A mission can only be voted down five times in a row. Five nay votes in a turn will immediately lead to a Infiltration victory.

4. The team leader will receive three plots (chosen at random by the GM) to distribute to the team members as he/she sees fit (one card per member) after a yea vote on a mission.

5. In turns one through three, for the mission to succeed, each team member must have voted "success". One "failure" vote immediately fails a mission. However, in turns four and five, two "failure" votes are required to fail a mission.

The plots that will be in play this game:

Notes:

1. Phase refers to when the plot can be played. Plots (except for Establish Confidence and Under Surveillance, which take effect immediately) can be played during any turn, provided it is playable during that phase.

2. Count refers to how often that plot could come into play during the game. There are a total of 16 plots, and a maximum of 15 plots could occur during a game (3 per turn).

Players:
1. Koodauw [Under Surveillance]
2. Astroboy907
3. WoodNUFC
4. Moyank24
5. Don't panic [Strong Leader]
6. twietee [Strong Leader]
7. TechGod <-- current team leader
8. mscriv
9. Queen of Spades [Spy]
10. FenrisMoonlight

It's funny, no.

Angelic voices: "Another one right now? You should probably pass."

Bacchus: "..but imagine what jolly good fun could be had, do you really want to miss out on that? "

Me: *fantasizes* aww, screw it. In. :D

Good choice in games, Ravenvii. This is fun in person--although my family is too prone to laughing when they lie to someone!

With sadness I'll have to pull out. My computer died and I'll be transferring to a new one; being as it effects my work I'd rather than not plague the game with low attendance while I attend to more attentive attentions.

Sorry. I will be watching with interest, of course.

We'll start on Monday morning. Until then, ask any questions or make any critiques you may have (I'm looking at you @Don't panic )
alrigthy.

what are plot twists :?
when you say plot point i guess one of these roles is considered worth a point. right? if yes: are those roles with two in play worth two plot points? if no: what the heck are plot points? :D

also, what's the difference between expose and investigation?

Those means that there will only that many of that plot point that will be handed out -- i.e. the 'expose' plot point will only occur once during the game.

alrigthy.

The result in the former is revealed publicly (i.e. in the thread), and in the latter is PMed to the player privately.
