As great as this sounds I agree with other posters that the 6S series is where it finally got fast enough to not care so much. And as someone who jumps back and forth to Android (Nexus 6P running Nougat) iOS despite its annoyances doesn't slow down over time anymore like Android does.

Imagine how fast the fingerprint scanner would be. Lots of people were complaining the iPhone 6s scanner was too fast.. this time it will probably scan your finger in 0.00001 seconds :)

Didn't someone on YouTube change the resolution of the note 7 to 1080p to see if it made a huge difference that so many people claim it would? Pretty sure it was just as bad as QHD.

I have a 6. My instincts tell me to leave it on IOS9 and that 10 will choke my phone pretty badly. For those that have tested 10....opinions?

Edit: Thanks all for the input. And amazingly everyone seems to be on the same page, so I'll give 10 a shot.

Dont be. iOS 10 is awesome. Have been running the beta on my 6 since release and its great. The one thing people cannot say this year is that ios 10 crippled performance.
The new folder animations, and the ability to close an app before it finished launching makes the whole os feel much more responsive.

I would defiantly upgrade to 10.

Not if you reopen an app from the multi-tasker it doesn't.
not really. it does the same thing. have you used a 6+ and used other apps and then tried multitasking and back into the app. 90% of the time it will reload.

So my wife has a iphone 6 and was ready to move on up due to some issues. She was eligible for an upgrade and I got my 6s in March 2016; because of the missing headphone jack I offered her my 6s and I would take the iphone 7 on her line so we'd just switch numbers. I asked her if she wanted to do that, I didn't push it lol; I've been very happy with my 6s its been fantastic but now, I'm looking forward to a 32 GB Black iphone 7 whenever it arrives at my store.

How does this compare against Kaby Lake i5, i7 or even some of the Skylake Xeon's?

Awesome! This is very exciting. The A10 Fusion beats the Xeon E5-2697 in the late 2013 Mac Pro's. Can we expect the A12 or 13 to be the undisputed king of processing?
Only in single core. No one would ever buy the 2697 unless they have a multi-core workload. It remains to be seen how well the Apple A chips will scale up to what is required for an MacBook Pro/iMac/Mac Pro. It could certainly handle the work load of a MacBook or MacBook Air within a few years.

I really like the big.LITTLE design. It would be pretty cool to see that in all computers. a MacBook with two high efficiency cores and four high performance cores could be pretty great. I don't think they are going to want to transition 1 or 2 of Mac Products to arm and leave the remainder on intel but I could be wrong.
