A5 Untethered Jailbreak Issues, Bugs, Incompatibilities, ETC

I tried jailbreaking with the new version of absinthe and I'm now trying to install stuff on cydia but it's not finding most apps and I tried installing intelliscreenx but it says "Note: the requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically fixed" and it says depends "preferenceloader" and "libstatusbar"

I also got an error saying "failed to fetch data" when I first ran cydia.

Any help would be appreciated

Edit: I rebooted and now cydia opens and crashes straight away.
I'm gonna just go restore and jailbreak using the first version of absinthe

I just JB another 4S and when I'm in Cydia trying to download anything I get the following error:

"Cannot Comply: The requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed"

Can anyone help me resolve this? I didn't have this issue on my 4S, btw this is a 16GB (9A405) AT&T 4S.

Same thing happened to me
 
Well I'm not sure if this was the fix or not but I went into Changes -> Refresh and re-downloaded the Packages. After about 10 minutes or so I went back into Cydia and I was able to download the apps with no issues. :D

I think it's just the servers getting hammered

yeah cydia is getting hammered right now. i would try tonight or even during one of the football games. Go niners!

Yeah none of mine are working. I was trying to keep up with the botched ravens kick lol

I can't get the .11 Pandora skip hack to work.

installed .11 Pandora, then went and installed the hack and Pandora just boots out right away.

anyone know why this is?

Sorry for multiple posts. It might have something to do with VPN's. I messed with them a bit and now tweetbot is working.
 
I'm having an odd issue I just noticed today. For some reason my 4S has forgotten my wifi password, both email account passwords and my voicemail password. I jailbroke on friday and just now happened this evening
 
Absinthe opens on my Mac (10.6.8) but crashes after about 10 seconds before even recognizing my iPad. I tried v0.2 and v0.1.2-2 both have the same problem. I have no errors unzipping the file or downloading it, however when I view the crash report I see this:

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00000000b0104ffc
Crashed Thread: 2

After trying about 10 times my iTunes says I need to restore my iPad to a backup or start new but I still have all my apps and everything is working.

As said, if you have this kind of issue or similar like POSIX and hash mismatch, etc, go to Changes and hit refresh. It takes more than a couple minutes to download all the packages when you first start Cydia after the jailbreak. If you start trying to install apps before it's finished, you'll get these kind of errors because it's still accessing the servers. Best to set it to the side to load all the packages before touching it.

Are you running iTunes while trying Absinthe? Try closing it and then do the jailbreak. On Windows, Absinthe will detect the phone without iTunes running. Not sure on a Mac though.
 
I've tried running it with iTunes open, with it closed, with all programs closed nothing seems to work. I restored my iPad so it's fresh to reduce problems but still no luck.
 
Was wondering if this was happening for anyone else.

snooze dosent work with + volume button like it used to work before when my alarm triggered, i tought it was a problem with activator so i went ahead and unistalled but this made the both the - and + not to work... all they do is increase and decrease volume...

I know this is a minor issue but i like my phone doing everything it is supposed to do. Hope this gets a fix soon.

Oh wow I noticed that too.. My + didn't snooze the alarm but the - volume did. I kept thinking it was normal but then I realized no.. It wasn't. Heh. I don't know what it is.. I only have SBSettings, MyWi, & SNES9X installed.

A month or two ago it happened that also my volume buttons werent working to ignore calls, instead they were adding or reducing the ringtone volume. Apparently activator had something to do with it and got fixed in a later version.

I found FakeClockUp made my whole iPhone experience a little more pleasing, everything 'seemingly' goes a little quicker and feels snappier. Testing between my girlfriends iPhone 4S (no clockup) and mine, I can get into and navigate things like SMS messages far quicker than she can.

Yes!! iMessage aint working for me now either. SMS works fine with iMessage disabled. Anyone else care to try? Send an iMessage to yourself and see if it sends/gets delivered
