This is an interesting phrase! Haven't heard it before.Hope you get your problem solved promptly.
Hope it works for you, so do I.

I for one could not be any less of an "Apple apologist". Do your homework (ie: read) before you go making snap judgments.
The OP has an issue, it cannot be sorted until the next business day. I say calm down until you know there is truly an a problem that cannot be resolved. Until then deciding things cannot be fixed is a bit presumptive. Frankly I don't care if the dude was overcharged by TNT, Apple, or his credit card company, it doesn't bother me one bit. What is silly is that a consumer can suddenly be disgusted with a company who clearly made a mistake without giving them a chance to fix it or even notifying them of the issue. I don't care if it's Apple, Microsoft, or some other large company. It is the snap piss poor attitude expressed without attempt to resolve that I was mocking.
Try to fix it, if in fact it cannot be fixed then yes, be disgusted with Apple all you want. The day they wrong me I'll be happy to be disgusted with them too. Apple means nothing to me, they make expensive computers and other electronics that most can get for a lot less elsewhere, but it's my cash and I choose to spend it on Apple from time to time.I do not actually cheerlead for them, I'm not a fan of pom-poms to be honest.
The OP said Duty.
haha.
Have you taken this up on the independent TNT support/discussion forums?
Apple have charged me VAT and the duty within the price from Apple CH, they haven't added VAT and Duties paid for to the shipping document they provided to TNT produced with the bill sent from the Factory in ( Shanghai )
This sentence makes no sense whatsoever.
This is a typical TNT mix-up. I've had this sort of problem with both them and UPS. Am actually currently taking care of two UPS mistakes of this sort - one where they are charging me import fees for a book that is exempt from these fees, and another where they are charging me for shipping that I've already paid through the seller.
You can get as mad as you want, but it's not going to help anything. Unfortunately, it seems that shipping companies make this kind of mistake more and more. All you can do is contact the shipping company to have it cleared up.
Cant understand why this turned into a bitching war,OP as long as you have proof and im sure TNT and
whoever will, what's the problem it will clearly state you have been overcharged somewhere.Anyways
its now the morning time to give apple/TNT a bell as im sure it was just a MISTAKE than can be sorted
out with a simple phone call.Good luck
Re read the passage, and an understanding of Tax obligations helps.
Ebay private auctions are different, unless you can shed some light with Apples resolve to cover the shipping fee's for your situation.
I do understand tax, import fees, and customs regulations; the problem with your sentence was a lack of punctuation. It's a run-on sentence, and hard to understand because of that. I'm not pointing this out to make you uncomfortable, but it's necessary to be clear if you want help.
Why you're bringing Ebay into this, I have no idea. My own experiences have been with shipping companies messing up with Amazon orders, but that's not the issue. (I have had one issue with TNT delivering for Apple, but that was TNTs inability to handle logistics - I actually had to run after the truck to get them to stop, because I saw them come to the building, get out and look at the door, then start to drive off again.)
My point was that I find this type of error to be more and more common with shipping companies, and a phone call is usually all it takes to clear it up. And it seems that's what most people here have been trying to tell you, too - just call.
Im not uncomfortable, to much stock in your own opinion, ordering directly from Apple is a different Company than Amazon maybe you could be more clear with your situation and the resolve.
The original post you will find was posted on a Sunday.
Are you aware Apple are not contactable on Sundays?
I also have an opinion and point of view, thanks.
My mistake, thought you were interested in getting input here, to help you judge your own situation and decide how to proceed.![]()
Nuff time wasted.
The Phone call to Apple had been made this morning maybe if it was Sunday it could have been helpful input, if you didn't want to read the whole thread to understand the situation regarding the Two Invoices received from Apple and payment to TNT, and the VAT already paid to Apple CH regarding the Duties / Vat, that is hardly my responsibility with your concern of understanding of sense, if any.
Any input on the judgement on one post alone isn't going to be accurate I am being short for a reason I am clearly being charged without the correct documentation that should have been supplied to TNT from export from Apple.
Picking me up on punctuation doesn't and not understanding clearly what is going on because of a lack of reading thoroughly hardly reflects truthfully on what I am saying to a regard for your situation which is probably different as mine isn't being interpreted correctly.
We can all make assumptions, I am out of pocket and waiting for a solution.
No more posts of hostility I'll post back with the relevant info when the call from Apple is returned.
I'll probably regret this, but I'm going to try anyway:
1) I did read the entire thread. Several times. My input was based not only on everything you wrote, but what the others posted as well.
2) It seemed to me that you are experiencing a mix-up, and it was clear that you were very worked up about it. Lots of posters encouraged you to calm down and just make a phone call to clear it up as soon as the business week started up, because it's clear to all of us that you were charged twice.
3) I saw one sentence you added with info that simply didn't make sense. I pointed it out, thinking that if you cleared it up, I maybe could help, since I've been through this kind of thing before and have had to deal with mistakes in customs and import fees. I realised you might be offended, but I took the chance. And of course I realise that English may not be your first language, but I wanted to understand what you were trying to say. And I added my own experiences to let you know that you're not the only one who has had to deal with this sort of problem. Thought it would make you feel more optimistic if you heard that others had been through similar problems.
5) You were rude and jumped to conclusions in your responses.
Glad to hear that you are no longer going to write hostile posts, and I'm sure you'll get your situation cleared up now that the business week has started.
Take it a bit easier next time. Everyone understands when you're upset about a situation, we've all been there. But it won't help to bite the noses off people here who try to help you.
Here's the thing. We get a lot of people in here slamming Apple, sometimes for things that aren't their fault or are isolated incidents. But even the legitimate problems, if they come with attitude or snark, well we're already a defensive lot from all the time we have been treated as second class citizens. There's another thread here where someone is saying not to buy any Apple products because he's a recent switcher and his new computer isn't perfect. Apple is just a company. Macs are just products. Mistakes happen, stuff can suck or be broken. They aren't perfect. You have a right to be a little miffed, but it might help to wait until actually dealing with someone to rant about how much Apple "disgusts" you.Venting is one things, but inflammatory comments = inflammatory responses. Calm down and someone will help you.
Guessing it's probably just something stupid, and you might even get a gift certificate out of it.
With regards to the OP what's with all the bitching and what do you hope to achieve by it?
everyones posted to calm down & it will get sorted. How are things going now?
Edit must have been typing same time as me
Generally people seem to think that you spend all the time between the problem and solution angry, its not actually realisticly like this in truth.
as like anyone I don't like digs at the integrity of Truth and Facts.
Its almost like being put into limbo, and being told black isn't black and your legs aren't cut off when everyone else is running round, with a black and white perception for them.
Uncomfortable no, ridiculous yes!
Ran through the Invoices again and TNT Invoice with their Apple document is declared 3231.00 without VAT, but Apples document through to my email is at 3476.56 inc. VAT which has been charged at that rate to my credit card.
Apple has made the mistake, and hopefully this can be resolved tommorow.
Are you saying you've been charged VAT? I know anything sold to Europe can be charged duty especially goods to be used in that country,
