    Hi!
I was wondering if it was possible to access the stored passwords in safari from a directory? Like on windows, there is an encrypted file with all the password google chrome has stored. I think it is: AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\login data.
Anyway, can you do something like this on a mac? Please say yes because i really need it and not to just to in preferences and then look them up.

    Thanks!

The saved passwords in your account are stored in your keychain. The way to access the keychain is using the Keychain Access utility. I don't know of any way to get them from a file.

Use keychain access and search for the website/device/user/etc.
The passwords are saved elsewhere if you've unlocked or used them recently but you'd have to hunt around in memory

I don't believe you can do this (from a file).
