I agree. I'll go out on a limb and again predict there will be no such lawsuit. As I've mentioned, when a big company intends to sue another big company, they don't let them know it's coming. Surprise is a huge tactical advantage, because the first party into court generally gets to pick the court.
Ill even go farther - I predict that Adobe will do some grumbling publicly and try to gain public sympathy but thats it. No lawsuit will ever get filed. Adobe is smart enough to know that if they get ridiculed by an immediate dismissal due to lack of standing they can loose any public sympathy that they had. Even worse, they can come out looking more vulnerable than they want to.

Well thats only part of the equation. You cannot just be defamed if somebody lies or is deceitful - such actions have to cause meaningful damages or harm for defamation to occur. If its just a lie, then its libel and even then there is a high burden to overcome. Thats how tabloids avoid (mostly) libel and slander defamation suits - they know where the line is
