Advice for preordering iphone 5S?

Is it better to bet on a Friday delivery (like last year) or set it to the address I'll be at on Saturday?

Is getting a phone a day early worth the risk?
 
I'm on a AT&T family plan (two lines). I just tried to order a 5 on the apple app and I did not see an option to buy a second phone for my second line ? Mind you that I'm only testing here, not really going for the 5 but the 5s on launch day :)
. Am I missing something here ?. Do I actually need to somehow input my AT&T account into the app or no ?. I do not compute.

If its like verizon you just enter the phone number to upgrade. So do the process twice?

Also, who's ssn do I need to enter? The account holders or the phone line holder?
 
Apple's app. Trust me.

Apps are built for bad data connections dropping in and out. Which is exaclty what will be occurring at midnight on Th/F. Set up quick purchases, learn your passcode info for your carrier account and get to the current screen. Then yo uare ready to dominant come game time.
 
sorry, im a little confused. What is the app everyone is talking about thats best for preordering? I have an ipad, is it just the app store app? Where do they sell iphones on that?
 
I am switching from Sprint to Verizon with 4 lines on a family plan.

From what I've seen it looks like it will be much easier to just do it through verizons site and not apple all at once as apple wont let me buy 4 at once on a new family plan while porting numbers

Anyone with experience doing this? Is Verizons site the best way to do it?
 
Well this year, there will be 4 colors, and 3 size variations. So unfortunately, people will be forced to pick the champagne color once all the whites and slates are gone.

I can vouch for this. The past two launches, I've F5'ed my life away on both AT&T's site and Apple's at 3 am to no avail. After trying for at least an hour that way each time, I ended up going to the app and got through right away.

Be prepared to be patient come preorder day. It's not for the faint of heart. ;)

Last year I had to place two separate orders.

I didn't use the app, they just needed the phone number to check upgrade eligibility, I think recently the also need zip code and last 4 of the billing account SSN.
