First and foremost, you bought a WATCH. A smart watch is simply a watch that offers notifications and maybe also acts as a fitness band.

This is the way I've come to think of it. Just have to decide now if that is worth $350 to me. My mind seems to be changing daily on this. Yesterday I would have said no. Today yes. We'll see.

Exactly haha. As an early adopter, it is part of the fun to observe the evolution of the device from the beginning, that is with its original flaws ;)

We paid $701 each with tax, so our two fun but not very useful stainless A-watches, each with a streak-stained, not so pretty Milanese band, did not provide us with a laugh a minute.

Prior buying the watch, I already knew the software would be similar to what iOS 1.0 was. I also knew that improvements would gradually come over time. Hardwarewise, the watch is very potent and battery was better than expected although not perfect. I can't tell about the Milanese loop since I own a 42mm SS with Link bracelet but I'm pretty pleased with the build quality.

IMO the main issue right now is the software not the hardware. Doesn't matter if they release an Apple Watch 2 that is thinner, more powerful or so, it always comes back to the software.. that is what makes most of the user experience.

I am a UK female....aged 69. I love all Apple products.

I am very happy with my 38mm. SS with Milanese band....it saves me time in that I can read an email or message without being tempted to just take a peek at Facebook or eBay.

However, no way could I describe it as being jewellery or very stylish. Maybe on men, but not on me. It looks chunky and BIG!

But I am keeping it...have ordered an extra band!

I have not seen anyone in the UK wearing a Watch and no one notices mine!

Once you realize this it's easier to decide to get it or not. I wear a watch daily and have $2k+ price watches, so spending $600 on watch that primarily was meant for time wasn't a big thing

Very interesting thanks.

I also love all Apple products but am very undecided about the Watch. Don't have an iPhone but that would not put me off buying a Watch, after all it still tells the time and a few other things without a phone.

My Rolex is expensive and only tells the time, and not too accurately at that!

I think at some time in the future the Watch will interface with the iPad which will make it a must have for me.

Ive been an apple fan boy for all my life. I remember buying my first Mac and thinking "this is the coolest thing ever." I have bought almost all of Apple's devices from the apple TV to the iMac. I upgrade my iPad every year and my phone as well. I actually was the first in line to get my iPhone at my local apple store. (waited 3 days in line) Anyways, my point is, I believe in apple, i love their products and was ecstatic when I pre ordered my watch. I got it on Launch Day and thought "wow, i don't even need my phone anymore" but i soon realized that it only does so much. My apple watch sits on my desk most of the time now and rarely use it. I love the apple pay feature and fitness app but thats about it... It seems like a hassle. My phone is easier to use. I'm still keeping it and hope it grows on me but i doubt it. Not here for hate, just sharing my opinion. Hope you all enjoy your device.

Btw i bought the SS Classic Buckle 42mm.:apple:

I have had mine on every day all day since 4-24. Just sell yours its not for you.
