True those phone batteries had a major design flaw. The anode and cathode were placed too close, there was no fix. Sometimes the battery manufacturer would expose the batteries to humidity during manufacturing. That would cause swelling and degradation, overheating. Terrible but a manufacturing error not a design flaw. Could be deliberate hiding of problem by sub-contractor. S/b a crimeYou are mostly right. Except for the last one. Samsung has indeed built phones that burst into flames. I've seen on some flight information that I was not allowed to take certain Samsung phones with me on a flight. And they did that without copying Apple.
You are right, they did. The article mentions it also. Reading is difficult.Wasn‘t this confirmed by them before Apple even announced their plans? I thought I read that somewhere a while back. Also, are the really including a USB-A to USB-C cable with their phones?
Sure....I had +15 chargers, none of them USB-C, now I bough two from Apple. So between them and Apple, that’s the environment solved, yeah?
I guess that can only happen in america, where common sense is not a thing. Because how is apple liable for a consumer's choice to go with a garbage charger? If your house burns down, sue the manufacturer of the charger, not the company, whose device you were trying to charge with that POS power brick.I wonder how long until the first lawsuit because someone bought a crappy no-brand charger from a mall kiosk and it caught fire, burning down their house.
At least by including a charger with every phone, Apple and Samsung ensure that most people are using a high quality charger. Now everyone who buys a new phone will have to buy a charger if they don't have one, and you know people will go for the cheapest garbage that does the job.
Not at all. Samsung is 100% cheap gimmicks, right throughout their marketing and products.
Yes, Apple fans are legally forbidden to buy devices from other manufacturers. Won't someone shed a tear for us poor captive fools...Samsung fans can switch to Sony, apple fans just have to take it.
I buy it. They might not remove everything with their next flagships, but they definitely will eventually. Samsung thinks their Apple but they’re not even close.I actually don’t buy this rumor at all. I think Samsung will likely include the adapter in the future, but likely remove the earbuds, as they know those are a waste of time including those, because of Bluetooth being so predominant.
Or Scenario B:
They include the adapter for the higher end Galaxy phones and remove it for the lower tiered ‘Budget’ phones, which I could see them going this route.
When the market leader (Apple) does it and the consumers accepted it (just look how many here defended Apple for it), any cost cutting measures will be followed by the rest of the industry. This is why some Samsung users dislike Apple. If Apple does it, Samsung will do it. Samsung is Apple's 5 o'clock shadow.
Samsung is for losers.

Lawsuit? Lol that's the person's fault for being cheap... That would get kicked out pretty quicklyI wonder how long until the first lawsuit because someone bought a crappy no-brand charger from a mall kiosk and it caught fire, burning down their house.
