After reading the reviews, do you have buyers remorse regarding the Jet Black?

To me, this color reminds me of the old iPhone 5 days. Had the slick looking black at the top and bottom and the matte look in the middle. Now, if they had done that, I think that would've also have been amazing. I ordered the iPhone 7+ in JB, and I am super excited about this color. Just looks pristine. Yes, fingerprints, grease, dirt, you name it, I'm sure it will be all over the phone, but like many others around here I use clear cases to show off such colors. Pretty much every iPhone I have owned has had to have had a case. But, that's just me. I'm willing to keep this phone looking as clean as I can as long as I can. This color to me looks way to pretty to even pass up on, but then again, only time will tell. If they have a clear skin to put on it, (websites anyone?) I'd like to do that THEN put a case on it. ;)
[doublepost=1473777867][/doublepost]I got the iPhone 7 plus jet black 128Gb it says preparing to
Ship, but the estimated dates are still saying October 14-21st!

Just out of curiosity I am wondering if I did a mistake or not. Still, not sure. But if the phone scratch (and it will without a cover) I will just say to myself, "It is what it is, live and learn" :)
That's what AppleCare+ is for, or the myriad of other third party protection plans. Enjoy the device in all it's naked glory!

Something to consider: There are a bunch of really great thing protective films you can place on the outside of the device. So if the back is what's most likely to scratch, you can put a film over it.

I struggled deeply deciding which one I should've ordered. On launch day I ended up purchasing the Jet Black Iphone Plus 128GB. However, After reading the reviews today I canceled my ordered and got a regular black Iphone plus 128GB.

I still have nearly the same delivery window of oct 6- 12 so it wasn't a lost for me.

At the end of the day the Jet black is not worth the hassle of using cases, skin protector and constantly worrying about scratches and fingerprints.

If my shipping date stays where it's at, 9/27-10/10, I'm going to bob down to the T-Mobile store and see if they have any 7+'s in stock on launch day. If it's anything but gold or rose gold I might swap it for the Jet Black.

Even in some of the review videos that are starting to surface, it's shocking to see clearly visible scratches to a degree so soon, but I guess that's what the disclaimer was for.

When the phone is on your ear no one will be able to tell whether or not it's scratched. But they will be able to tell that it's a jet black iPhone.

Watch the regular matte black have the same problems as the last black iphone, the 5. While micro abrasions show on the jet black the matte black will probably look worse if you actually scratch/chip it through the black color. I hope this isn't true but I have a feeling some will complain about the matte black too since it shows scratches/chips worse than the colors we had last year.

I'm pretty sure anybody on here that ordered jet black knows it can scratch easily. I don't regret it one bit.

I'm sure if the micro-abrasions become excessive they can be polished out.

Wallet edges, leather has multifiber threads that can cause scratches even on the front screen. Also.. it's a review.. they've had the device for weeks.. with no cases.. even though they were told to use them with that color way. It's simple.. this color way will scratch.. but hey lets exploit the fact that it does to put down Apple. Put down Apple for other things.. but this colorway will scratch garbage is petty.
No, they've had it for 6 days.

What's the point in getting jet black if you are going to use a case anyways? Even with a case, dust will get trapped underneath and it will scratch when the case is remove and put back on.

Hard to tell the scale of the scratches from the released photos. They all are very zoomed in and cropped. They could be microscopic, or they could be huge.

Personally, it makes no difference to me because I don't plan on regularly inspecting the back of my phone from 8 inches away. I also have no issue with the battle-tested, covered in scratches look iPod Classics and iBooks resulted in.

The Grand Canyon come to mind.:p

No regrets here. Jet Black is the slickest looking iPhone of the bunch. If it gets a minor scratch here or there its no big deal, after all its a phone not a sports car.

No, I like the jet black that's why I ordered it, I have both an Apple silicone case which arrived today, and a clear case on the way.

I didn't make the information, Apple said put a case on it. If people don't follow directions and it scratches.. well that's on them. I also don't get the whole dust behind the phone in a case thing. I've used cases for every phone I've ever had, never ever had any scratches.

Darn I'm on the edge of canceling and getting another color.
Just looking at my beautiful white 6s makes me even consider a white one without those antenna bands...
Then again, the 7 looks so beautiful in JB... ahhhhhh how to decide?
I had a space grey 6 and got SO bored by the color after a while.. then I realized how they always depict ios on a white phone on the website and how beautiful it is, and finally got a white 6s. Such a beauty.
I think the problem really is we want something new, something that makes everyone see "Hey this is an IP7" but then we have to hide it in a case and it's kinda pointless..

It's much more pronounced on glossy phones. I uses cases on glossy Android phones and the back sometimes looks even worse than those without a case when treated properly.

I say and wait for real world usage. You have a return policy and if you think it's taking a beating then return it then. I wouldn't go off speculations right now.

Oh I'm sure it's worse on glossy.. I remember seeing 3G, 3GS phones that had scratches, even the iphone 5 in straight black. Apple should have made some sort of clear case to sell along with JB.. might have snagged some extra cash from those. I'm sure those who don't want scratches would have bought that.
