Because I'm quite convinced that this kind of behavior is partial driving up the price of my iPad too.
Ok so we have 500 whiners .... Let's multiply for 10, just to your entertainment ... We have 5000 complaints and they are selling MILLIONS units !!!
So, based on your assertion, an insignificant number of complaints (5000 out of "MILLIONS") has resulted in enough returns to increase the price of the iPad?
It's laughable that anyone would question these screen issues. Various, protracted color/brightness uniformity issues have existed with Apple displays since day one (and, of course, other manufacturers using IPS panels). iMac yellow tint issue, iPad 2 backlight bleed, iPad 3 pink/green display problems, rMBP yellow tint issues, etc., all documented in countless forums, blogs, reviews, even Apple's technician documents.
There is a a historical record of display quality issues and that is hardly a matter for debate.
Childish insults, the tired "OCD" assertion, and don't-like-it-don't-buy-it arguements add nothing of substance or value to this thread.
