As you can see from the over saturated pic, tone is even.

On those picture we can't see the issue. Please post one with the splitted keybord. Only these pictures shows the yellow tint near perfect, if the screen is not ok

If I make a picture of mine with a white backround, I see nothing, the display looks perfect on the photo. If I make one with the splitted keyboard, I can see it

I see differences, but if it is perfect for you, than I'm happy for your. Enjoy your Air :)

i didnt quite follow...did you say you're happy with this screen? it looks sepia to me...although it does sen to be a most evenly tinted sepia.

It's not that sepia colour when you are looking at it, that's the way the camera is seeing it.

Tone is even and that's what was not right with the first two I had. Reading documents was very annoying as the background turned from yellow to white to blue as you read from left to right.

I'm really particular about my screens but this shows no problems that I can see.
No wonder this thread is so long. People here are so anal, that they will find a problem with the most perfect screen and promptly return iPad Air to Apple.
"Split keyboard test", really?! What a joke... LoL
Btw; Your iPad looks truly great, enjoy it and my advice is: stop reading this thread, because someone for sure will ask you to post the picture of "light bleeding" next for sure... ;)

I tried to accept both previous iPads but I simply couldn't read any documents without getting distracted by the terrible colour changes. I'm happy with the one I have now as I can read without noticing any issues :)

I must be getting too picky. Bought another 128GB Air, and the left side looks yellowish, but seems uniform in pics. It's a week 39 model.

EDIT: I can see the yellow left side in the pic now. It's not terrible, but it's not as good as the Air my wife has. Guarantee I can switch them tonight, and she'll never notice. :D

Just picked up an air today got a uniform white screen but a tad little bit of screen bleed think I'm gonna live with it then play Russian roulette that and every tablet I've owned this year has had screen bleed wether it be the nexus 7 2013 or the lg gpad 8.3 galaxy note 8.0 and 10.1 so I just just think screen bleed is here to stay on all devices. Hope everyone gets a reasonable air!

definitely keep it! If your screen is a uniform white without bookspine it's a keeper! pretty tragic though that we all should settle with some kind of screen defect.. how "bad" is the bleed?

On the photo is a colour difference, I can see it too - on the one with the keyboard

Well I don't know what else to say, but in person the display is fine. We can argue about this back and forth, but I'm the one that has to use the machine and I can't see any colour tinting.

Look back in the thread and you'll see the other 2 machines I took pictures of, it's extremely obvious the left is a strong yellow colour.

Compare that to the 3rd machine and it's night and day.

I'll stop posting here as I can see it's a bit pointless to continue this discussion about who can/cant see colour differences.

Good luck to those who are in the exchange lottery.

Exact, it's pointless at this point. Maybe it is the photo, maybe not, mainfact is, you're happy with it

Well, I did warn you about it ;)
Posters here are thriving on making others miserable and will try to find the fault in most perfect iPad Air screen. They also don't use their iPads in traditional sense, they lock themselves in completely dark rooms with their iPads brightness turned to 100% watching white, grey or black backgrounds in full screen mode.
I'm not a psychiatrist, but I don't think this is normal behaviour...
Btw; Enjoy your iPad, it is perfect.

My wife doesn't see the yellow tint too - maybe al little, she said :D

BTW: You bought a new Air these days and get one from week 39?

Walmart had one in stock. That's where we bought my rMini last week, and they put a date on the price sticker. The Air was dated October 30, and was probably the first they had. I don't want to sound nutty, but it's screen has a very slight greenish tint on the left side, and very slight pink on the right. Definitely usable, but......
