I returned my 16 GB iPad Air because of screen issues a while ago… Finally went back to get a 32 GB model today, and it has an absolutely flawless screen!

Until you stare at this thread a little too long and suddenly your iPad will develop uneven tints and a mysterious bookspine effect ... :p

Why is Bookspine Ridiculous?
Because it is .... Never heard about those kind of "defect" if it wasn't for thread like this.

so yes, it could affect my mini?

In my opinion NO, but feel free to get influenced by some picky guy on this thread and check your iPad thoroughly :D

Btw a defect is present or is not, so if you are happy with your mini move on and use it ;)

MAX(IT)-
im satisfied with it and was just wondering if it were possible- my ipad has a blue tint on the entire screen and my iPhone 5c has a yellow tint on the entire screen but it doesn't bother me a ton...

"Today I went to the Apple Store seeking an iPad Air, DMPLX serial model. The salesman was very sympathetic when I explained why I was looking for that particular serial number. He brought out a DMPLT model and opened it for me (I did not even want to open it because it wasn't a DMPLX). He even took me to a halllway behind the "employees only" door to view the iPad in dimmer light. He immediately noticed the book spine shadow and advised me not to buy it."

It's a thread like this one, and I'd not be surprised if most of the people was actually the same people on both threads ...

Here's a photo demonstrating the same issue on my 5S. So not isolated to Air or rMini. Doesn't bother me as much on the 5S because of smaller screen and less reading of things on white pages.

Insets show cropped areas from opposite ends of the screen side-by-side.

Here we go yet again with screen issues!

Does anyone else notice what could best be described as a shadowy line down the left side of the screen? It's about an inch in from the edge and most noticeable on a white screen. Think I should exchange?

Bought an iPad Air at Black Friday and realized the shadow on the left-hand side. Returned it and got a new device which was even worse.

I'm not worried, this can always happen with new generations, Apple will take care of me they always do,

Btw, experienced the same with an iPad 3 (in 2012?!?) which I also returned. Even the Apple Support admitted the problems dealing with the Air this time. So you should be worried, as Apple continuously fails to balance demand and quality....

I have never seen the perfect Air. They all have varying degrees of screen issues. Just go for one and see what you can put up with.
