I took a screen cap. I don't see anything

Lucky you.

My iPad has a screen defect where whenever I look at it closely I can see an image of a person, who looks a bit like me, just staring back at me. Funny thing is it disappears when I tilt it slightly.

What gives...

I took two pics and flipped the screen around. It doesn't make sense to be on one pic. Btw is till have the plastic that came with it on

I think it might be a little but it's nothing to warrant a return. IMO. Especially since I bet everyone who took a picture of their iPad would have some "yellow". But like I said if you see it in one pic why not the other hmm

I returned mine for similar and didnt buy another, just kept my money.

It's up to you ultimately though. If it doesn't bother you, keep it.

Yew der not returning for this. I see nothing major. I don't do graphic designs or anything. It's aight. But like I said it can't only be on one side if I flipped the iPad over.

I'm not really sure what you're saying when you say flip it over. My worst yellowing was on the bottom left if you're holding your device in portrait.

I'm saying I posted two pics where I rotated the iPad. But yet only one side looks supposedly yellow. If you tilt it it isn't like that.

Also does the trick of putting brightness all the way up get rid of it

Do you mean burning in the screen or whatever? I certainly don't think so, I used mine on max brightness for a couple of days and had no reduction in yellowness at all, I think that along with the myth that you have to let the glue cure is complete bogus. As far as my experiences go and from what I've seen what you see is what you're stuck with.

I've not seen one in all my travels. And I must have seen 20 or 30.

by in your travels do you literally mean you have seen people using them, because from my experience this looks like something you would need to stare at for a bit to actually notice.

My air is perfect, really tried to look for book spine and nothing, tried with splitter keyboard and white background. And no yellow tint what I can see. It's production week 50, BUT tomorrow I'll have to replace it because it's defective since a Smart Cover makes it go to sleep when the cover is on the back of the ipad...what a pitty cause I was really satisfied with this display.
Have to hope for the best with the new unit.

how do you know the production week?

The devices I've looked at in various stores and the ones I've owned briefly.

My first iPad Air had noticeable yellow/green tint on the left side of the screen in portrait mode, it was most obvious on white background text pages and on people pictures due to the inaccurate skin colors. Actually there was a slight green overcast on the entire display surface.

I returned the first iPad Air and waited a month to buy another, I was afraid the second unit would be the same since all store display iPads seem to have the defect to some extent. Fortunately this one has a much lesser amount of the yellow tint defect compared to my first Air.

Mostly I use this iPad for monitoring financial news so minor color inaccuracies are slightly annoying but not a deal breaker. However if I was using this iPad more for photography or imaging work the color issue would be a bigger concern.

So does anyone here have the perfect iPad. I haven't seen anyone post that.

You don't see in emergency room- guys with healthy legs, promoting how healthy they are in front of broken folks. I visited this topic constantly until i bought my first Air and it was perfect, now 1,5 weeks later i dropped in cause of old habit. My pa, who bought his IPad 16gb black wifi in month ago had good one and mine white 64gb wifi serial:DMPLV/Production week: 50 (December) seems to be perfect too! Ive done pixel test and white seems to be consistent. Just some safari crashes which isn't hw related(i hope so). There you go, don't blame me for showing off my health in ER lol. all the best!
