Good question. I have this model number I just got last year and I don't see an update for it. I can see the Apple TV app listed there in the App Store when I search for it but I can't click it and do anything with itSo no Q65FN on the list? I imagine Costco sells a lot of these. But Samsung seems to ignore these models when releasing firmware updates. :/
what's the model of yours? My 2018 model is on the list of supported tvs yet there is no update for the tv available yet. Have you downloaded an update successfully?

This might be one of those updates they roll out by region. Since its gonna be on so many tv's, they probably want to take it slowly updating all of them and making sure everything works ok. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get the update until late tonight.Same exact as yours. It says 2018 Q6 is supported right? I got mine from best buy..not costco.
So my Q65FN has the same firmware version number (1251) as the 6, 7, 8, 9 does in the download center. The online download center just doesn’t list a downloadable firmware update for the 65 specifically. I think the TV is updating itself... I’m pretty sure the software version used to be 1209. But who knows. I guess I’ll find out later today or tomorrow.Good question. I have this model number I just got last year and I don't see an update for it. Update now was greyed out on the Samsung TV’s settings. Able to fix by holding down power button to hard reset, but not seeing any updates. But then 5 minutes later, the TV showed up in the AirPlay menu! We got the TV yesterday and I had to reset the TV entirely earlier today for unrelated reasons, if that helps.
On my first experience: looks like screen mirroring works, I have had some issues with AirPlay 1 apps. AirPlay uses an Apple TV like light mode UI for selecting subtitles and alternative audio. Mirroring photos from the Photos app does work too. Audio works with a similar interface to Apple TV. There is a scrub bar in Music & Stitcher, but not Overcast.
This is all with the most recent beta of iOS 12.3, need to update to GM soon.
Apple TV app installed just fine in the US. I was kinda hoping for an integration with 3rd party apps, but doubted it. If the content is not available on Apple TV channels or iTunes TV & Movies, it appears it won’t show in the app. No sports tab since sports currently all redirects to 3rd party apps. Looks like you can add more than one Apple ID.
My TV model is UN43RU7100FXZA.
I have a UE49MU6100 here, version 1270, bought in 2018. No update or app has appeared yet... If anyone knows how to get the update, please share it with us.

Technical question: Does this mean I won't need to buy a separateTV? Will I be able to just sign in with my account details onto the Samsung? I'm thinking of replacing my tv if this would be the case.
That's a significant downgrade. I would have to look into this further and weigh out the pros and cons, thanks. You would lose DolbyVison HDR, and only get HDR10. That would be the big reason for me not to give up the AppleTV, and the Apple Arcade would also be missing.
My apply TV app is working on my Samsung Q90R. Additionally Airplay 2 is functional as I can now mirror my MacBook Pro. I was able to login to my apple ID and everything is there in terms of movies and content.
The one thing notably absent is APPLE MUSIC?????? That would be a game changer. Does anyone know if this will be released in a future update as a dedicated app?
FYI, yes I can connect via Bluetooth and other channels but I would rather not. It would be nice to have a dedicated app for music.
I have a '17 LG 4K. AFAIK, there is no update for ATV. No big deal as I have a 4K ATV plugged into the set.I have a 2017 Samsung TV that I bought a year ago and this being excluded is yet another reason why I’ll never buy another Samsung TV. Too many compromises already.
