I'm glad I'm not the only one going through this... there's a thread over on Samsung's US page about this same issue. I've got the 65" NU6900 with the 1251.0 firmware and have contacted support twice to have them reset my hub (which logs you out of every app btw) and even remotely controlled my tv only to have them hang up the call twice with no explanation... very frustrating to say the least... the pic is the last comment on the thread suggesting that the delay may be on Apple's side... I had to download it to a USB first and update that way because the TVs software update kept saying there wasn't an update available. After updating to 1260.8, there still isn't an Apple TV app nor can I use AirPlay... Have you tried yours?
UHD Series 6 2018 over the air update available as of this morning (June 26th) in Canada. Apple TV works but I don't see it for AirPlay - have to fiddle with that.
