Wireless audio sync issues is one of the first things to have taken into account. I would have thought this would have been addressed before even removing the audio connector. I suspect that audio delay is also still present which makes this wireless mode less desirable.

1) this is getting old
2) Apple hyperbole was "courage". If you use such a strong word you better deliver, because in my dictionary "courage" is reserved for other kind of stuff.
You are free not to buy anything from them. Ever.

I'm sick of this psycho-analysis ********. I'm not going to buy them regardless, but if i needed them i couldn't care less how many times they were delayed.

But never at the frequency that it seems to be happening at TC's Apple. And also in the absence of any other really great new product being released during his tenure. I didn't even list all the half-baked product that were released when they were but should not have like iMaps.

The list is just as comparable to the list as Jobs' extensive list of fups. Don't kid yourself, this isn't a Cook exclusive thing.

I am also free to judge a company by its promises and delivery, and call BS when I see BS.
If they build an amazing product, I will say it. If they deliver it as promised (or at least close to it) I will say it.
If they build crap and underdeliver and/or if their slope is downward, I am going to say it.

I don't think people need to paste this into forums everytime someone is upset something bad happened. People don't seem to me to be overly entitled. Apple announced something. People had expectations. Then were let down. If people were in here straight up whining, sure. But its totally reasonable to be disappointed in Apple and how things are going with airpods right now

An issue was discovered. That issue is being fixed. Ok, they release it like robots on the day they promised and people start having all kinds of problems.

The whiners would have a field day. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. That's the world Apple is in.

As I mentioned above, for missing the deadline by two months, and for missing Christmas season, the issue must be serious enough to warrant this. This is even worse since this BT product was supposed to be a solution and a form of courage.

When it rains.. it pours.. Even though it makes sense to delay for something like this.. knowing very well that what they were doing was more cutting edge then just chucking a bluetooth chip into these, they should have never put a release date other than to say Early 2017.

And they'd be completely valid in their complaint. They announced these in September for release in October. It's now the middle of December. They didn't think to address such a basic issue before announcing these things? That's a MAJOR fail on Apple's part.

I'm starting to believe they announced these knowing the release date in October wouldn't happen just so they could avoid bad press for removing the headphone jack.

Here come the people complaining about Apple taking too long to test something before release...

Tim Cook should really step down. Whoever he put in charge of product testing/development should be fired.

Under Jobs' leadership, the Power Mac Cube developed cracks in the housing, Apple delivered a completely circular mouse, Apple around the millennium missed the demand for CD burners, the iPod Nano's screen scratched easily, the iPod Shuffle ended up with no buttons at all until the next revision, Mobile Me happened or maybe didn't happen, iPhone 4 suffered an antenna problem, Apple took forever to figure out how to make a white iPhone and iPod Socks. Not to mention several other big and little flubs.

Should he have been fired, too?

Apple's problem is, there are already products that work exceptionally well that are already being sold and bought.

I'm not denying that. But when these do release, they will still sell and likely be at the top of the market, mainly being it's proprietary and it because it has an Apple logo in it. Assuming these are quality made, which I believe they will be.

In what world should we pity a company as being "damned if you do, damned if you don't" when it comes to actually delivering an announced product on the timeline they themselves committed to? No one gave Apple that deadline. People likely made purchases expecting Apple to at least mostly deliver on that promise. Yet here we are about one and half months past the deadline and the release doesn't seem at all imminent. And even once released you can probably expect the 3-4 week shipment delay too. So, we're now adding up to say 3 months past a self imposed deadline. And this self imposed deadline was only about 6 weeks away when made.

While I get your point, Jobs apple was moving from the old apple no one cared of, to the Apple we know today. Jobs had to do the hard work to build a new company. A defective Cube? No one really cared at the time. The iPhone 4 problem was really never a problem, most people figured out that it was mostly (not entirely) media hyperbole similar to the Pentium bug everyone seems to forget about.
But this? Cook took the most important product - actually, the only real moneymaker - removed a standard function to sell an alternative (obviously just to figure out how to increase revenue stream since he's in "trouble") and he botches this so badly? And on top of that, we get defective overpriced Macbooks already behind in technology?

In ear buds will never be available to try-on for health issues.
I don't think anyone ever got sick from swapping earbuds, lol. If I can't try them first, then I'm not going to buy them. For all I know they sound like crap and will fall out as soon as I turn my head.

You are a hypocrite you know that. Act surprised.

There are better 3rd party products that are ready to go for purchase and great qualities.
Are those comparable in terms of price, size, battery time and lack of cable between pods? Just curious, as I went for a 3rd party (non-Beats) on-/over ear solution now anyway.

Apple's quality and image have been heading steadily downhill since TC took the reins. I'm not about to say that being a Steve Jobs replacement is an easy (or even possible) task, but Cook is simply not the guy with the kind of vision and insistence on detail quality that Apple has built its reputation on.

He's a great operations guy, but Apple seriously needs someone with a vision at the helm.

What does my ability to do anything have to do with Apple announcing a product that it knows it cannot ship when it says it can? Total non-sequitur.
You're saying whatever unnamed technical issues they have run into should have been fixed before announcing. I'm saying you know NOTHING about what is involved in a product launch and the technical issues as well as the logistical and manufacturing issues.

So tell us mere mortals specifically how to roll out a product and take care of all the things that can and do go wrong. Please enlighten us with your vast knowledge and experience. We're waiting....
