See.. I'm happy to have a discussion about these, and compare opinions.
The pairing to multiple devices is a nice idea I guess. Personally I tend to use different sets of headphones for different circumstances.. 'earphones' for my mobile phone, and 'headphones' for my desktop computers. So again I guess not much use for me necessarily, but I can understand if you have multiple devices it could be useful.
I guess I never found wires to be such a chore as some people find them. I did run a set of cheap Amazon bluetooth earbuds for a while and they were pretty good but the units poked out of the ear a bit and became uncomfortable if you tried to put a hat on over them to secure them in place, and would eventually just drop out of your ears because of their own weight. I guess the Apple design solves that one
I think the ideal / preferred wireless solution for me is a pair of buds joined by a cable that you can just pop round the back of your neck like a band. That way when you need to remove an earphone (i.e. to talk to someone) it has somewhere to go, rather than having to hold or pocket them.
Anyway. Good points, well presented - I totally get the case for these. And I can see why people will want them. I'm just not as enthused as some others are. To each his/her own though.
