AirPods In Stock Today at Best Buy With Free 2-Day Shipping [Updated]

I was so happy to see this this morning and ordered a pair for my wife (They'll have to pry my Bose QC 35's from my cold dead ears!) and I've already received a tracking number. I also saw on the product page that orders over $35 received free two-day shipping. Elite members did not need to meet the $35 requirement. But when I added them to my cart I did not receive the faster shipping option. I needed to go into the Best Buy near me anyways to take care of something and they adjusted it to two-days for me no problem.

It looks like shipping times have slipped though. Says it ships by 6/26 now.

I didn't complain about price. I also did purchase the Dash prior to the AirPods release and would do so again due to many design choices including the additional features on the Dash which can track fitness, be used untethered with internal storage, has a host of touch and motion based controls, and oh yeah, are waterproof and I can swim with. The Dash's audio transparency mode is a great addition. I would say the AirPods probably beat the Dash on ease of connectivity, switching between devices, and may edge it out slightly on battery life and the design of the charging case.

That's fair enough that's why they're more expensive then.

I should've kept it more at aesthetics since that's what you were referring to initially, and I have to say the Dash headphones are worse looking...in my opinion of course.

In-store setup for AirPods has be the easiest job ever for the Geek Squad. Just open the AirPod case up and hand it back to the customer.

I was going to reply with a snide remark about them charging $49.99 for such a service, but to my surprise the setup is free.

I actually ordered these last week from bestbuy because they were set to ship in two weeks instead of 6 or 8, but then they shipped them out this morning, arriving Friday. Can’t wait.

Just put my order in for a pair, should arrive Saturday. I'm looking forward to the auto pair to various Apple products. I am constantly going between listening to music from my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. I currently have a pair of basic bluetooth headphones I connect to each. If I am working out at the gym, I'll connect to my iPhone and listen to tv shows or movies. But if I go for a run, I have to pair to my Apple Watch because I only bring that. And then I use my iPad at night when in bed. Each time I have to repair to the next device.

in my experience with the set i have they will try to connect to whatever they last connected to and i have to tell my iPad/iphone/laptop to connect to them each time i switch even if the last thing they connected to isn't around. but overall its nice only having to do the initial pairing with one device and it just showing up as an option on the rest after that

Not coughing up 160 bucks for the same sound quality as the 29 dollar EarPods. Please spare me your comments of how amazing they sound, I've owned them. While I will admit that the design/tech behind them is fantastic, sound quality is average and has a long way to come.

Bought an ipad mini 4 ($100 off) and AirPods from Best Buy today. Went to pick up the iPad, and asked the guy at the pickup desk if there were any AirPods in stock. Of course he said "no." I then told him I had ordered them online, with a ship date of 6/22. He said "expect them to be delayed by up to a month." That didn't sound too promising...

Just looked at my order again, it actually says "get it by 6/22."

Has anyone pondered here for about a minute how successful these AirPods are? It's mid June and these launched in mid December and they're still having a six week prediction for delivery. That's unbelievable. Honestly, this has to be one of the better products Apple has launched in the last three years or so and They cannot manufacture enough of them to meet up with the demand. Outstanding job By Apple.

You're not paying for the sound quality as much as you are the technology. The sound is NOT amazing, but they are better then the EarPods. The latest software update actually seemed to increase the treble and bass on the Airpods. I don't believe Apple ever intended to have these to sound "Amazing."

What you are paying For, is the experience with the pairing, battery life and charging case capabilities.

I love my AirPods, except in noisy places. I can hear all the background noise over my music when I'm on the subway, regardless of how loud the AirPods are.

Totally agree - right after I got mine I tried them on a plane (jet) ride to Florida. They did nothing to block out the engine noise so I would have had to crank the volume to hear my music. Thank goodness I had my set of Anker Sportbuds with me. They fit tighter in my ears and blocked the ambient sound acceptably. Not as well as my 10 year old Sony earbuds with ANC, but I hate wearing them any more (too many wires).

Aesthetics are entirely subjective; I actually prefer the AirPods to the Dash, and not in a lesser-of-two-evils way. The Dash sticks out away from user's head and looks rotund, while the AirPods have a narrow stalk that runs parallel to the side of the user's head. IMO, the latter is more understated.

That and the way they look make me fear I'll turn into a Cyberman
