To be fair, they weren't wrong at that time. They just didn't or couldn't the impact of the modern day smartphone beyond the immediate drawbacks and limitations. No, I live in that reality and benefit from it. Don't worry, you'll be dragged along into it once the grandma's of the world are talking to their wrists to ask their assistive robots to fetch the laundry basket in the basement.
It's pretty funny how I received something almost exactly like your comment when I predicted in 2007 that the iPhone would inevitably be most people's only computer.
"But how do they get on the web? How do they work with word documents? How do they edit their photos in Photoshop? I need a real computer. You can't do that with a cell phone. You're living in Steve Jobs' reality distortion field"
I carry my 6S+ naked without a case, and it lasts long enough throughout the day, so no need for a power bank for me.Ha ha ha! This is exactly why Apple designs are failures. The public has already condemned the iPhone's design as a failure. How? By burying the vast majority of their "thin, elegant" iPhones in tacky, bulky cases. They have determined that Apple's products can't withstand being used for their primary purpose.
They also carry around power bricks and wads of wire, so they can beg bartenders to plug their iPhones in (or crawl under tables to do so themselves). Why? Because Apple's idiotic and undesired mania for "thinness" has rendered its products essentially DOA because they don't have enough battery to support their advertised uses for half a day.
Except for giant releases like a new iPhone, this is typical practice (for Apple and most companies). Not everything gets a pre-order.
Well this is kind of BS. So I don't get a pair until mid-January because I happened to work a late shift last night and didn't happen to wake up early enough on some random Tuesday. Screw that, seriously.
I agree, I was working and missed it. As a loyal customer I really don't appreciate that they didn't announce a preorder time AHEAD of the sale so there would be some time for people to find out it will be available like they do with iPhones. Apple continues to disappoint. They are losing touch with their loyal customers and getting a little to big for themselves IMHO.
I agree. I wanted to buy for my husband for xmas. It's the last week of class, I was up writing until 5am est and just got up an hour ago, no warning, totally missed it. Some kind of email from apple to let us know to be ready would have been nice. But they probably didn't because they knew demand exceeded supply and they didn't want people crashing their site.... still. Annoying. I'll be mad if they do that with the 27" lg.
Seriously? They release them at some random date and time with no notice?
I work afternoons, I was sleeping.
If it were a pre-order I would have set my alarm, or stayed up.
Screw Apple. They are ****ing their customers left and right.
at least you are on EST... its so unfair for us who are on PST... nobody wakes up 6 in the morning just to check the website.. so so so unfair.
I feel for you guys I really do, but I've got to say it i'm afraid... 'You snooze, you lose!'.
No matter what time they do it, there will be people missing out.
but at least people will be awake, and have a 'fair fight'.
it's the same as starting sale at 1AM PST unannounced. where people are most likely sleeping on EST.
It'll be the first Apple gadget I won't buy - would love to have a play with the technology side of it, but as an audiophile and previous audio engineer the sound side would be remotely close to what i'd enjoy.
Which might actually be a good thing for people to get an opportunity to see it in person and question if they want to walk around with little blow dryers/q-tips in their ears. Maybe Apple will release them in black so they look a little better and don't stick out like a douchtastic sore thumb or improve the design with rev. B/gen 2.
Haven't ordered but says delivers by 12th in most areas in the UK?
you'll be backYeah - exactly. They are to concerned with their margins and earnings instead of making products people actually want. They have left people that have supported this company through it all with macs that are outdated, a sore attempt at a fashion company, an iPhone and iPad that you cannot plug into a new Macbook pro straight out of the box without an adapter, and one that you can't listen to music on without buying a new pair of headphones.
Apple doesn't have courage. They are what we have come to hate. They are what MS once was. Apple owns most media and has locked it down via iTunes store.. and control all access to it via their devices.
Maybe if Apple actually released a decent laptop, or updated their iMac line, I would feel differently. Now they are just a mobile corporate sucking profit margin price gouging conglomerate with a fan base of people that buy computers because they are pretty.
Sorry Apple - I am done with you.

Delivery by yesterday?
Apple's Time Machine must have some new features.
Actually no, I won't. Haha. Maybe here to keep up to date but I won't be purchasing anything new from apple.you'll be back

Lightening.USB C?
I imagine the date that they ship to most in the US. So wednesday? Only a guessSo these are available next week in stores? Does it state a specific date so I don't have to drive there and waste time. Can't call a store anymore to check anything which stinks.
slips away.. I wanna see them reach a February 2017 deadline. Go, Go, Go.
In 14 minutes the deadline slipped to 4 weeks already.... The fastest slip i'll ever see.
Some of us have enough hair that nobody will really see them in our ears without trying hard to see them.![]()
Aside from hiding them, honestly, who cares what others think when wearing them. I can think of a lot of more outlandish things people wear besides some Airpods. If someone wants to judge and laugh while I wear these, please do. My response is a laugh in return to show how shallow these people are, being they need to express and hide their insecurity of "Laughing." Transparency is skin deep for some.
Clothes deep for some people

At the start it will be more envy than anything else when they secretly want them
Anyone considering buying the Airpods strap at all by Spigen?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/AirPods-Sp...&qid=1481708442&sr=8-3&keywords=airpods+apple
If I wanted a strap, I would have picked the beats sports earbuds instead (can't recall it's name offhand).
You are right. This is conceptually closer to the beats X than the Powerbeats 3.You mean the PowerBeats 3? I don't know, I feel that is a completely different beast. They are a lot more hefty and not everyone will like the design of the wings/clasps etc. The cable also has a remote so it will add more drag/weight.
This cable makes it more similar to the Beats-X, but keeping the Airpods in-ear form. In addition, the wire seems much less troublesome then the Beats-X (shorter, lighter, no remote). Besides, the Beats-X doesn't ship till Feb/March, and it doesn't have a charging case.
It could help those who liked the Airpods but were tempted to go for the Beats-X because they were worried about strapless design.
