The current EarPods don't stay in my ears during normal activity unless I put little foam covers on the pods (like headphones used to come with back in the day). I would like to give these a try, but it appears that the tolerance inside the case won't allow for the AirPods to be stored with anything like that around the pod end, and you can't just apply and remove those foam things all the time. I'll have to hold out for Airpods+ with Wings.

Yes, a day before I leave for winter break! In my opinion these are the most innovative product Apple has announced in years if they work as advertised.

Can't wait to hear what people really think after using these (hilariously ugly) things.

I also wonder how many people that end up not liking them will be labeled as haters or trolls by the apologists.

I just don't see wireless headphones trumping wired ones, particularly in regards to sound quality and consistency (no audio dropouts). And the slippery hard plastic will slide right out of sweaty ears, so I'm not sure about that either, especially in warm/humid climates.

But the functionality in Apple's ads appears to be pretty nice, which is not surprising given their marketing prowess.

Some people have had review units since September. John Gruber talked about them on his most recent podcast and stated it's his favorite Apple product in a long time. As for the Airpods slipping out of ears, I'm sure that's more related to the user's ear shape, but there's this as food for thought.

Why would I lose them? They are either going to be in my ears or in the charging case. Luckily I'm not clumsy enough to lose my stuff thanks.
Enjoy carrying your headphone carrying case with you everywhere you go... Enjoy keeping track of it... Enjoy dealing with people stealing it... Enjoy spending $130 extra to deal with the worst problem on the planet - a cord.

First world problems...

I already have a Bluetooth set for exercising (plantronics back beat), but I wouldn't get these anyway, for the sole reason that it requires Siri commands to pause/play music.

I will indeed, thanks for your concern though. If people are able to steal air pods from a 6'9 guy then there must have a great reach

$159.00 for headphones no thanks.

Apples pricing has been pretty bad lately but in this case they are on par with what high end bluetooth headphones go for in the market. if you compare with jaybirds, bragi, samsung gear icon, Bose, etc... they are all in the same price range or higher.... now whether you consider the airpods high end that's a different story then you're getting down to personal preference.

You'd have to be stupid to think that you won't lose them. Also, you're giving up cords in place of some stupid charging case that you'll constantly need to charge... iSheep are hilarious.

If you are that clumsy then get an AirPod strap.

The AirPod case provides up to 24 hours of charge. A fifteen minute charge in the case allows for three hours of AirPod use.

Little shock people are ordering so fast and not waiting for the reviews and battery life. Read on the website up to 24 hours on a charge or 5 hours of using them. Seems little low.
Well reviews have been out for a while so we kind of know what to expect.

And now the "my company would ever do such a terrible job" CEO's can inhale and order away. Followed by the "Steve would never...." arm chair supply chain gurus.

They may be a bit overpriced. They have not have the greatest sound quality.

But I really, really, really want them. Jogging with absolutely no wires has always been like the holy grail to me.

Ordered.

Well, that was anticlimactic. Somehow my shipping and billing addresses got mixed up. Ended up cancelling and ordering again.

Delivers 20/12.
