i wonder if they will have try ons in the stores like they did when the original airpods dropped. 'cause if these are anything like the old apple in-ear headphones i'm gonna pass. however if they fit and stay in nicely - i'll give them a go.

Also tried to find something similar... Apple doesn't look to let you trade in AirPods (for money at least - they do let you recycle them for free). Might just need to sell them on eBay for a quick buck.
Which is the opposite of what Apple wants.
Personally, I thought the price would keep me from purchasing them, but the greatest hurdle now is that I would have to upgrade to iOS 13.

You will not be disappointed, I have the originals and a pair of Jabra 65t active, picked the Pro's up about 2 hours ago, SQ is the same as Jabra and a LOT better than the originals.
As far as NC is concerned on a par with the Jabra's if not slightly better
As far as comfort is concerned, much better than the Jabra's as nowhere near as bulky and so far from the 2 hours they feel like they cocoon you. Not on a par with the Bose over ear but then they are not that type.....
Looking forward to wearing them in the city tomorrow to put them to the test
Probably not there probably will be great discounts on the regular airpods now that their is a higher end version. Even now the airpods without the wireless charging case are often discounted
I guess....I'll pick up some. I been wanting to trade in my X for an 11 anyway...for the camera since I can't tell much of a difference between the screens when I tested them out on Friday. So, iPhone 11 and AirPods Pro here I come...

I was on vacation so got to the pre-orders about 12 hours after they opened and got a Nov 5-7 delivery. Cancelled that and I'll go pick them up at the store tomorrow when I get home - every Apple Store around me has them in stock today. You'd think they could fulfill the online orders faster with this much stock in the stores.
Just got them via courier at my office. I think I'm in love. ANC works very well. Sound seems very flat to me (in a good way). Honestly the most comfortable earbuds I've ever worn. Transparency mode is almost eerily good. I'm having a hard time finding anything to dislike.
Warning: Signature is not required for delivery apparently. I'm really hoping mine are on my porch after work.
Are you trading for a 11 or Pro, because the 11 does not have a telephoto camera like your X. Zoom In is far more important than Zoom Out as it causing distortion.
I went for engraving so I'll have to wait till next week for delivery; to all those picking up or receiving them today, ENJOY!

They are awesome. Sound quality is very good, coming from someone likes good overears. Balanced sound, not so heavy on the bass. ANC is very good, cancels most noises in the road, on the train, etc. I’d say 90% as good as some of the larger over the ear ones, although I prefer the implementation on these.

Most stores in the Bay Area (California) have stock. Checked Santa Rosa and no pickup until November 8! I doubt they sold out there, and I bet it’s more that they’d rather send more stock to other nearby stores where they’ll sell faster. Oh well.

I did hope they were going to make a sit in version as well as the silicone tips. Waxy ears will screw these tips up quickly I am sure.... talking of which how much and where are the extra tips?
I wonder if any enterprising company might make solid tips that snap on so you can have sit in ears - would work... I just tried them without the tips and they sit in like the normal ones. Obviously noise cancelation won't be perfect.
