Because they are. There are no shortage of people here using $20-$30 headphones that think "they're fine". Of course they only come out of the woodwork during announcements. Why do most people on here sound like they're used to using dollar store headphones.
Toothpick, but lightly...Hopefully the new ones will be easier to clean as well....ear wax is a pain to get rid of on the current ones.
How? 9 hours of listening time from PowerBeats Pro, 4.5 hours from AirPods Pro.
You're missing out for the wrong reason. You don't know how valuable the charging case is. My BeatsX technically last 8 hours, but they sit in a drawer uncharged and unused because that fact doesn't matter.Exactly. I waited to see the specs of the new air pod pros...but will def be buying the power beat pros for the longer batt life.
I think there are gives and takes.Exactly. I waited to see the specs of the new air pod pros...but will def be buying the power beat pros for the longer batt life.

But you won't be able to brag over and over again to your annoyed friends who could care less, about your new little Apple toy!!! Honestly, I'm with you, I got a great discount on the PowerBeats Pro and am more than satisfied with them. Not to mention the battery life of the PBP compared to the abysmal battery life of the APP, its a no brainer. People gotta feel special somehow though...Pass.
Battery life isn’t good enough.
I got my PowerBeats 3 for $99. They work great and sound great. I can wear them for over 12 hours before charging. I’ll stick with those for a while.
I’ll eventually get the PowerBeats Pro when they’re at a fire sale price.
Where have you been?So I guess the "Pro" suffix on Apple products no longer means "for the Professional".
It doesn't have to be this way either. It is completely related to moderation. Every forum is shaped by its moderation. They not only allow, but clearly encourage, the same kind of belligerent nonsense that follows every product announcement. A lot of places would consider that trolling, and would just ban it. It is easy to identify, so it would be really easy to enforce. But not doing anything about, it instead baits forum members into addressing it themselves, and that results in a ban, because any form of argumentative post resIt’s macrumors, they have to have something to bitch about. Wait until the MacBook Pro 16” or the Mac Pro drops, and count backwards from 10 and you’ll see negative comment after negative comment. It’s the most miserable place on earth, except maybe for slashdot or dark horizons.
I like what I’m reading about sound quality... but as someone that uses mine to talk on the phone a lot, I was hoping to hear more about microphone quality improvements as well. Maybe they are there.
Apple is RETAINING the 'regular' AirPods, so this broadly new design differentiates it.no i agree. But i remember a time when apple would just add these kind of upgrades with each update to their devices And the price stayed relatively the same. The word “pro” is being used now just to justify a higher price. It’s a very sly move on Apple’s part. I totally get it. But i also find it kind of annoying. This new sales strategy. But hey, it is what it is. Me personally, i am going for the power beat pros for the longer batt life.
i do think Apple should have Made the new air pod pros in multiple colors tho. To match the diff color iphone pros. i don’t know why they are so resistant to add color to the air pods.
I would love to have Space Grey AirPods...my hair is dark brown and those white things look like I'm Marvin the Martian from the Flintstones. I cannot be the only one here who would like different colors. Apple makesEVERY SINGLE TIME Apple releases new headphones there are rumors of colors. They are ALWAYS wrong. The white color of Apple earbuds and AirPods are the most iconic thing in the world, it screams to the world about how popular Apple products are when you see a pair in someone's ears... companies would DIE to have that kind of branding... so why would Apple make their headphones in new colors so people have a more difficult time telling who is using an Apple product? These are wishes and fever dreams of folks and nothing more... white is the color of Apple branded products that go on or in your ears.
Correct...Will these only work with iOS13? I have a 6 plus and can't upgrade to 13... which means I can't use the Pros with my phone right?
Some keynotes are better than others, for example i really liked the September one with the iPhone 11 announcement. I'm just surprised Apple decided to release these via a press release rather than announce alongside the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro.
Maybe more products are coming, maybe the tile tracker tomorrow and the rumoured 16" MacBook Pro on Wednesday. Drop a product or two every day for the rest of the week, like they did earlier in the year.
If I’m not mistaken, you can still use them, but you won’t get the nice neat cards to view the batteries’ charge level when you flip the case open, to pair for the first time, etc. They’ll just behave like regular Bluetooth headphones, without the nicer UI that Apple makes for their headphones. Will these only work with iOS13? I have a 6 plus and can't upgrade to 13... which means I can't use the Pros with my phone right?
Heh, well...arguably Apple has attempted (even when it is clearly a facade) to tell people what is "Pro" about their Pro products. Even with iPhone 11 Pro they spent time talking about professional photographers and videographers.Where have you been?
I would love to have Space Grey AirPods...my hair is dark brown and those white things look like I'm Marvin the Martian from the Flintstones. I cannot be the only one here who would like different colors. Apple makesthreefour different color iPhones 11 Pros and six different color iPhone 11s and no one ever gets them confused with Samsung, at least until Samsung copies Apple's colors.

Correct...

When using AirPods, it is so easy to pop them back in them case and charge them back up that charging them/battery life is never a concern. Never. I take them out and use them all day without an issue, because instead of hanging around your neck when not in use, they're in case, and fully charged as soon as you go to use them. The value of this can't be overstated, and probably can't be appreciated either unless you've actually done it.
