AirPods Pro Launching on October 30 for $249

Well, that's Oct 30 in the USA, so that's great. I might just stop into the Ginza store tomorrow to see if they're on display for testing, or available as a store pickup.
You kept yours even though you can’t use them when you workout? Must really like them to not be able to use them much
Some of us out there can't use noise canceling tech because it induces and headaches and dizziness. I wonder if that will be the case here.
Curious as to whether these will go deep enough into the ear canal to form a good seal.
Could one use Comply Memory Foam tips with these? We will find out. Silicone tips are not as good as the memory foam tips from Comply.
Been using AirPods + BeatsX as a dynamic duo since they debuted. AirPods Pro potentially solves for both of their shortcomings tho.

Yeah, trains are bad - but BUSES in Japan are the absolute worst. Some of the bus drivers chatter incessantly on the PA (ostensibly, in an effort to be/appear helpful?) and this is in addition to the automated (pre-recorded) messages which usually state the exact same thing. For example:
Bus Driver: The next stop will be Shinjuku Station. Shinjuku Station. Please disembark here for the JR Lines, Tokyo Metro, blah blah blah. For your your safety, please remain seated or hold on to a hand rail until the bus comes to a complete stop. Thank you for riding today and we look forward to serving you again.
But as soon as he's done, the automated recording comes on and says pretty much the exact same thing!!and this of course is followed by a 'now arriving' announcement, again by the driver and the recording. Followed immediately by the driver thanking each passenger as they exit the bus (all of this, over the ****ing PA) and then the announcement that the bus will be leaving momentarily, then that it IS leaving, then the next stop announcement, ad infinitum.
Actually, I had forgotten how much I hated that, until I started typing - I haven't had to hear it ONCE since the first week of August, when my WF-1000XM3s arrived. It's been absolute BLISS. I hope the new AirPods are at least in the same league ...
So funny! I took the bus from JR Takadanobaba to Waseda U last night to have dinner with friends, and then back to Takadanobaba, and the chatter WAS nonstop. Always is, on the busses. My Sony NC IEM's are like an island of solitude in the crowds here. They perform quite well in the crazy RF environments around here, too. The Apple codec and system integration should be at least as good if not better. And I quite like the fact that the Apple case is at least 40% smaller than the Sony case, with similar battery capacity.
I’m starting to think that the person responsible for sticking “Pro” on all Poulan Pro lawn and garden equipment (even though it’s not Pro equipment at all) now works for Apple. 😃
Now I'm waiting for someone to complain that CarPlay doesn't support Netflix.

Silicon tips? Those would be quite hard and painful. How would they even make them? Fuse together obsolete CPUs and grind them into shape?
I didn't like the ad and music choice for the ad. Wish they would've done it the same way as Powerbeats pro and Solo Pro
On the webpage, I see the force controls match those for the volume control on the EarPods, but I don’t see anything for sliding up and down for volume. Is that posted somewhere?
I have to say, I actually miss the “tap” guestures. tap tap on my ear to skip to the next track always seemed to work well and I never had to worry about where I was actually tapping... I could even tap NEAR them and still get the same results.

So 200 plus tax for the previous gen AirPods with Wireless Charging Case is fine and suddenly you don’t have another 50$ to spend for a Pro Model? Nothing is absurd about the pricing of this new product given what you get for the price.
It’s a shame they didn’t offer it without the wireless charging case…
I personally have no interest in that. Anything to get the cost down would have been nice.

They're PRO because its a PROper shame they dont support a better quality bluetooth format like LDAC or AptX
LDAC I know right?! For once Apple could license from Sony and really benefit. Shameful that Apple cannot go the FULL audio quality across the spectrum of their offerings. A damn shame to have Logic Pro, Soundstage, Beats Studio Pro, AirPods Pro, and other areas of music yet Apple Music nor uTunes offers 990KBps data rate over Bluetooth. One can hope the H2 chips can do this.

Pro (rubber) tips:
- Try to keep both your AirPods, and interrogation subject, to the IPX4 water exposure standards of splashing from any direction.
- I’d still avoid the full certification procedure that calls for water volume of 10 liters per minute and pressure of 80-100 kN/m² unless you’ve gotten all of the
informationmusic you need. - Never use Perrier for any of this.

I guess, I could care less about the wireless charging case as well. (I have the 2nd gen AirPods with the standard case)
apple is STILL stung n stunned by the lacklustre PowerBeats Pro that offered so much. Now we know why that products ear seal was left to the moronic decision from its design.
Honestly thought Apple would come harder with the commercial announcement of this series. Now we wait for the marketing juggernaut to include these in EVER single commercial.

system in package is NOT an industry first! My Sony WF-1000XM3 has the ability not only to use both microphones to tune out ambient SOUND or amplify but ALSO TO ADAPT BASED ON WALKING, running, sitting or via public transit communizing which in my experience easily kids the Beats Studio Pro with ANC. If Apple hasn’t improved on those then I’ll not feel any type of ways missing out.
