Don't these easily fall out of your ears? I know with every generation of the iphone, my earphones always seem to fall out. I'm assuming these would too since the design and shape is very similar to all the previous apple earphones.

They do not fall out. What most don't realize is that wired headphones are pulled out by the wire, they don't fall out of the average ear. Without a wire, no snags. They stay in.

Bought mine from Best Buy, they have them on stock and deliver in 3 days or less if you need so. First I tried to order directly from Apple, delivery estimate weren't up to my pleasure, got on chat with Apple support and they suggested, sent me a link from Best Buy. Thanks Apple support peoples.

Nice headphones with cool tech. Got mine from my carrier Telekom Deutschland (Germany) with a 25% discount (voucher). I called at the store first, to be sure to get a pair. No problem! I would not have bought hem without the voucher so. Apple price: 179 € over here. 197€= 232,47 $, at the moment.

I still don't get people's fascination with these. Bad seal in the ears, no noise-cancelling, easy to loose, sound while better than many, not as good as the Bose SoundSport or the Bose QC30, most controls are over Siri... No offence, but just for the cool factor and the fact that they're Apple, I don't think they're worth purchasing at all.

And I believe a $169.00 price tag is not an unfair asking price in my opinion. The battery life, seamless technology with the W1 chip and pairing, decent audio quality and they are well made. Other competitors are significantly more expensive than the Airpods.

Wouldn't exactly call them well-made. Have you seen the teardown videos? Jaaayzus! The gluueeee... That being said, the price-tag is not unfair, you're right. I would highlight though that some of those other competitors have a significantly higher price-tag for great reasons like active noise-cancelling, controls (not Siri BS) and superior sound.

I think they are well made for the current price point. The AirPods have a nice weight to them, where it doesn't feel to plasticky or Overly cheap. And yes, I have seen the tear downs from ifixit, and when you factor in a product this small, adhesive obviously has to be used to hold certain parts together.

But there is a nice feature coming with iOS 11 where you won't have to use Siri to change tracks, you can double tap on one AirPod to change the track and the other AirPod to move back if you want to. I do agree Siri isn't the easiest method when controlling the AirPods, especially in a noisy environment.

My observation: I don't know how they sound. They way Apple is delivering them, it seems like they are all hand made. And every person whom I have seen wearing them, looks like a douche!

Anyone think we'll see AirPods 2 next month?

I don't think so.
I wonder if they'll add some colors, like jet black and gold to match the one of iPhone. I'd love a jet black version of the AirPods, I'm not really fond of white headphones.

Someday they'll finally be "in stock" when the AirPods 2 is finally on sale. Years and years from now

When I got my iPad Pro 10.5, I sold off all my other tablets. When I got my AirPods, I sold off all my bluetooth headphones. Apple has done fantastic work lately.

my fiancee ordered a set via her catalogue and was told 2-3 weeks.

she got it in 8 days.

She loves them even if if they keep disconnecting at times.

Sorry but the Beats X Imo is a better product. Same chips with better driver design and fit. Same charging via lighting cable and wearable when not in use. The only disadvantage is a cable or is that an advantage and the lack of a charging case to keep them going longer. Personally I prefer the 8 hour battery vs 5 hour as I have long listening sessions.

I'm surprised it's taken this long to ramp up production but they are a low volume item with very tight tolerances.

Beats? You pay for the Name... At least, before Apple bought them, now I can´t tell.

Hope they drop the price next month with the iPhone 8. I have a pair and love them, but if Apple wants to push them mainstream I think $99 is a magic number.

I find AirPods are already very reasonably priced at their current level. I also expect subsequent versions to include additional health tracking features and as such, the price will likely either stay the same or even increase.

Well, I personally wouldn't spend my money on Bose headphones, but obviously, YMMV.

I like that my Airpods are light and compact. They are very comfortable; I can leave a pair in my ears for hours on end and not feel any sort of discomfort. Very important to me because I wear spectacles.

They are easy to keep and I can easily store them in my front shirt pocket when I am done with them. No such luck with a bulkier pair of headphones.

Here is my current headphone collection. Haven't touched any of them since I got my Airpods.

In short, the drawbacks you mentioned just don't matter to me.

Good stuff. Picking some up to take on holiday with me, end of this month. But John Lewis here in the UK have had solid stock for weeks now.

It's only taken Apple a year to figure out how to manufacture them in sufficient quantities to meet demand.

It's ridiculous that Apple's supply chain is so bad that these things still aren't easily available. You cannot convince me that demand is so great that they a) can't keep them in stock and b) it takes literally 4 - 6 weeks to restock. With that said, I returned these twice.

While these ARE my favorite BT headphones, they sound nice and fit the best of any BT headphones I've tried. I love that I can go 2 or 3 days without having to plug them in. However, they still suffer from my number one issue with Bluetooth headphones - static disconnections the minute i put the phone in my purse or pocket. It's a buzz kill.

Not to mention, I know it's dumb to say, but I wish they had a wire. It's annoying having to take it out of my ear and fumble for a case whenever someone talks to me - no, I don't like leaving them in my ear during conversations - it's rude and I can't hear when something is stuck in my ear. I kind of want a PowerBeats with this form factor and portable charging case. Yes the powerbeats hurts my ears after a 1/2 hr.

I never understood the logic of people committing in-ear headphones to over the ear headphones. Both of them serve different purposes.

I had a pair of AKG's from the 80's. Until the dog ate them. I so thought about euthanizing that damn dog...

OR...

The demand couldn't have been met no matter what they did. I remember reading about Crocs, those AWFUL 'shoes' that sucked. They ramped up production to meet the demand, and the added production was several times their normal production, and then people started realizing they really were crap and stopped buying them, so the company was stuck with hundreds of thousands of pairs of the totally unrecyclable pieces of crap. They actually started marketing them in podiatrist offices. Really. 'Shoes' with no reasonable support. DIE DIE DIE! I looked at them as being like pet rocks, or beanie babies. A disgusting and worthless fad that had to die...
