I've noticed I've been spending more time on r/apple on Reddit rather than MacRumors lately... MR user base has declined in maturity.
For portable audio it is. elitistDid you mean $10,000 im audio equipment?

You should see a doctor about thatIt's solved then? My only personal experience is trying to get a quality portable solution for wireless speakers for a portable projector last year... everything non-wired (or wifi) was maddening with that fractional delay. It literally induced nausea.
they use bluetooth for sound, so...
and it's a pair of earpods ffs, they won't sound great as is
Sorry, that may be a lot to you, however portable audio could mean a lot of things. For portable audio it is. elitist
It appears "audiophiles" don't like it when other people are happy with the "non-approved" method, (wired), of listening to music wirelessly. Then why are you here complaining? They're obviously not going to be at the level of expensive wired headphones - especially if you're an audiophile that works with high end equipment.
But for the majority of users they'll be excellent. I've used ONLY Bluetooth headphones for the past 5 years. They can sound good. My Jaybirds Bluebuds and Sennheiser PX360BT are both excellent.
I called my local Apple Store and the guy on the other end suggested to check availability via the app an hour or so before the store's opening hours in order to secure a pair right away and walk in for pick-up.I'll be at the local store when the doors open - need to get 2 sets
well this is good news for me because now i can stroll into my local best buy or tmobile after picking up some chickfila and grab a pair and cancel the ones i ordered scheduled for the 12th. This happens to me every launch of every product. I preorder usually getting a couple weeks out but then go to my local spots and always end up with the product day one. Hopefully I just have to go to best buy since it is the closest.
Don't forget the overstated battery usageCan't wait to hear about the issues on Tuesday
How do people update incorrectly? If people updated correctly they wouldn't have any issues.
I'm unsure how many updates I've done over the years but I've NEVER had an issue.
And how is it that you are so sure there will be enough supply so you can get one. My sources tell me that each store might get 2 or 3 every other day. You aren't going to get one unless you are very, very lucky!
Then go ahead and assume:so is it certain the audio will be WORSE than the corded apple headphones?
Brilliant.why pay for a worse experience?
Check again. Same thing happened to me and it reverted back to the 20th a couple hours later.I guess I'll try in store next week, since my "preparing to ship" / delivery dec 20th order suddenly turned into "processing items" / delivery dec 28th.
Oh, just in time for the wireless future!

If you're going to kill a standard, at least be ready. Apple knew for how long they were removing the 3.5mm jack but still couldn't manage to get these out in the promised timeframe.
Why does a company this size struggle so much with timeliness?
I was trying to find some intelligent posts. But most are like the ones I quoted. How sad and useless if someone is actually looking for real information here. It's just not possible.
I'll be at the local store when the doors open - need to get 2 sets
I got a bad feeling about these being rushed to market the week before Christmas
So the pointing and laughing begins on Tuesday?
You ask if's WORSE:
Then go ahead and assume:
Brilliant.
