I'm reading rumblings Alias might be cancelled. That would be too bad, although the season started off pretty awful. The plot in episodes 2 and 3 felt rushed. And the premise of another fake CIA is becoming really lazy on the writers' part. They are 70th in the ratings. That's pretty bad for a TV series with this level of production quality.

'Alias' to end five-season run in May

Associated Press

LOS ANGELES - "Alias" is going undercover for good. The spy drama starring Jennifer Garner will end its five-season run in May, ABC announced Wednesday, promising a big finish.

"'Alias' is not going to wind down as it comes to an end, it's going to rev up, and we're going to make it the event it deserves to be," ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson said in a statement.

The series co-stars Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, Carl Lumbly and Kevin Weisman. It was created by executive producer J.J. Abrams, who is also part of ABC's popular "Lost."

Airing at 8 p.m. EST Thursday this season, "Alias" has struggled to hold its audience against the competition, especially CBS' "Survivor: Guatemala." Last week, the ABC show drew about 7 million viewers compared to about 19 million for "Survivor."

Garner and her husband, actor Ben Affleck, are expecting their first child around Christmas. Her pregnancy was written into "Alias" for her character, a globe-trotting spy.

alias season 5 start in uk????

does anyone know how i can find out when season 5 alias starts in the uk? :)

Did you notice that Jennifer Garner had very puffy cheeks in the last episode we saw? You could tell she was pregnant even in the headshots.

Meanwhile, the actress has already given birth, on December 1, to a baby girl who she and Ben Affleck named Violet Anne Affleck.

So the promo for the next weeks episodes said "Alias the final episodes". So, i take it is going be the series finale this season.

My guess is that that they will try to spin off a show with rachel and thomas. Although, a weekly show about Rene would be damn cool, imho.

so where the hell is Alias??? my TiVo shows no sign of it coming back yet. did they actually can it? they can't have surely, seems like a huge break to me...and it's on Wednesdays now?

come back! we miss you!

It's coming back in March.

There's an episode starting here in a half hour, but it's a rerun from 2002 on another station. We'll have to wait a bit more for the last new episodes.

Can anyone do a quick synopsis

of what's been going on in Aliasland?

The last episode I saw was the one where Sydney's mom was drugging her and trying to coax out information about Michael.

Anyone who can recap Season V will have my gratitude -- and perhaps the gratitude of other Alias fans. It's really too bad what Abrams did to this show. I suppose he simply got more captivated by the Lost project, but it is a shame, nonetheless. :(

I think they will need to play a "recap" episode when the show returns. Even we loyal fans who never miss the show can hardly remember what was going on.

I remember thinking that they would soon reveal that Vaughn wasn't really dead, his body was frozen, and he could be revived with some advanced technology that for some reason required a daring mission. Now that the series is going to end, I'm guessing that this won't happen after all.

Whilst it is good news to know when it will be back...

a couple of bad things came out of me reading that story.
WE have to wait until April, and it seems this season will be the last.

Three weeks (and a day) until Alias returns.

In the meantime, I was amused to hear a recently released [playlistId=129720057&s=143441&i=129720061]song[/playlistId] by artist "Alias 1" (also album title "Alias 1"), which sounds just like the kind of background music they use when Sydney is on a mission.

Alias returns tonite, with a two-hour pair of episodes starting at 8pm (7pm Central time). Don't miss it, Alias fans! And you can now buy Season 4 and 5 in the iTunes Music Store.
