There are SO many good reasons to not even contemplate buying a new iPhone until at least January. This launch day and pre order frenzy every year is for the birds.

The frenzy was years ago, lining up hours early and waiting to snag a phone on launch day.

Sitting in my living room and making a couple of clicks on a computer at 7:30am and then going back to sleep hardly qualifies.

Does anyone know usually what days/nights (ie. Tuesday midnight etc) Apple restocks stores so that online pickup is available?

I much prefer waiting and get it for retail price rather than what Microsoft and Sony do with their consoles. If only they let people order and give them a delivery window, it would solve so much of the problems with scalping.

Seemed like there were plenty in stock after launch. I ordered two 13 pros about 72 hours after launch date on T-Mobile with no issues.

In years past, especially with the 7 shortage if I recall, they were actually on a daily restock, and sometimes middle of the day restock as new shipments arrived.

I got mine on launch day but I remember people walking in and getting lucky.

Meanwhile my sister just did an AT&T upgrade for a 13 Pro Max. She ordered it through AT&T's website Wednesday night and it's already on the UPS truck for delivery today. That surprised me.
Same. My brother ordered an iPhone 13 Pro with AT&T well after release day and it’s here already.

That sucks! Congratulations to those who were able to order it on pre-order date. It was worth waking up at 05:00AM in the morning 😂
i'm in pacific time, ordered it at like 8 AM and still got it on release friday. coming from a XS, it was 100% worth it. i absolutely love it. I think the only thing i miss from the old phone is the lack of 3D-touch but that wasn't a deal-breaker.

Apple tends to be conservative with shipping dates just so customers don’t get disappointed, and they actually feel happy when it arrives early. They just always hope production doesn’t have unforeseen slowdowns.

Nah. Save your money for the iPhone 15 the year after. Better CPU, USB C, even BETTER camera than the 14, and no notch. Plus 4TB of storage And no camera bump.
Nah dawg, save your money for the iPhone 16 the following year. Better CPU, insane cameras, and the phone is actually a hologram.

I Just hope that with so much demand, the quality does not go downhill when manufacturing the iPhones.
when has that happened in the past?

guess im glad i got in the 1st batch. sure was nice for pre orders not to start until 8am. att even started 15 min early

After opening weekend, many stores have run out of their iPhone 13 inventory.
Went back to the Xfinity store to see if they happen to have an 13 Pro Max available. No iPhone 13 models were available as it was all sold out by the opening weekend.
The rep checked and said that Xfinity doesn't expect any supplies in until late Oct to early Nov.
Checked Apple's website now. The 13 Pro and Pro Max models aren't expected for shipment or nearby stores until mid Nov.
At least put away the doubt about getting the PM model from my mind to rest. Didn't need the bulkiness from the prior 8 Plus (6S plus prior to that). There isn't that much extra screen upon comparison.
Now to enjoy the 13 Pro that I got on opening day by just walking in and buying it.

I think a lot of the delivery dates are smoke and mirrors to create hype. In some instances, I've seen family or friends face delays, but rarely as long or in excess of the quoted delivery times. Often, they ship much sooner.

On the flip side, the chip shortage is real and impacting everyone including Apple, so that could be a driver this year.
Well i have the 13 PM was going to get the significant other one and it’s showing mid November

I was set up to pre-order then changed my mind. Then, this past Monday I decided I wanted one. So, every day this week I have been checking if one was available to pick up at a store near me. Nothing every day after checking dozens of times a day. Then this morning I checked and BAM, one was available but in silver instead of the new siera blue. So I now have a new Pro Max 128 silver. Love it so far. Came from a 11 Pro Max. Keep trying and you might get lucky like I did. Its like playing the slots in Vegas right now!
