Silly question: Aside from carrier specific (Verizon) vs unlocked, does it matter if I buy a 13 Pro SB from Best Buy instead of Apple? There are a few 13 Pro Sierra Blues at my local Best Buy available today.

I've always gone via Apple, and have been checking the local Apple Stores incessantly. Some 13 PMs at my local Apple Store today so maybe some regular 13 Pros will arrive at the local Apple Store this weekend?

There’s no difference hardware wise. An iPhone is exactly the same where ever you buy it from - from Apple or your cell phone carrier.

It's been said before, but it really is imperative that Apple moves all of its assembly out of China. I understand Apple's been working on doing this but it really needs to happen.
Moving production out of China won’t solve the underlying problem here, unless American people willing to get paid $3/hr with horrible working conditions.
Save your money and wait to buy the iPhone 14 next year 4nm CPU. USB C and an even better Camera. and No Notch.
USB-C would not happen, according to lots of rumours.
Unless there’s a stroke happening among multiple high ranking Apple board members, I don’t see anything will possibly change.

Meanwhile my sister just did an AT&T upgrade for a 13 Pro Max. She ordered it through AT&T's website Wednesday night and it's already on the UPS truck for delivery today. That surprised me.
Wow! Lucky! I ordered mine on the AT&T website on Tuesday night and I didn't get that treatment at all. Apparently, I ordered one that goes out of stock quite often.

I never understood the hype and rush to buy the new iPhone on release day. Every Apple purchase I've ever made has been months after release.

I think the only way this could happen any time soon is if every apple store becomes the tech equivalent of Build-a-Bear Workshop

The real reason is that a certain display manufacturer partner has an issue producing the LPTO Displays still (still an improvement from yield ratio last year). There are too many displays that have a half red tint on the right side or an overly red tint (degrades color accuracy, white balance, and contrast).

The delay is to give Apple time to send enough phones back to production to fix or replace the displays. If you have a G serial number, the screen is generally a fixed one. If you have a J serial number, it’s likely an original version of the LPTO display.
Where can I check this on my phone?

Are you sure they are going to fix to red tint issue? I am wondering whether I should exchange it or not.

If you can, pick up from an Apple Store.

On Tuesday and Thursday, I saw there were in store pickups available, at my closest Apple Store. Saves having to wait a month if you don't need a BTO iPhone.

unless you are engraving, there’s no BTO.

I Just hope that with so much demand, the quality does not go downhill when manufacturing the iPhones.
The quality has been going downhill theres reports of gaps in between the screen and frame also unexpected battery drain

I ordered online at release since none were available in local stores (13 PM). Had a delivery window of 10/22-10/29. Looked this morning and found one at a local store for pickup today. Cancelled online order and will pick up this afternoon.

I usually order/preorder directly from Apple. This year, Best Buy had a good deal, so I decided to do their preorder! Today is 10/2… no 13PM in sight, no idea when it’ll come in, and a stank attitude is what I get for daring question the outcome of this “preorder!” On, 9/27, I ordered thru Apple… with 10/26-11/2 ship date. Basically, I’m waiting on something to happen with one of the orders, so I cancel the other lol! New iPhone season is ALWAYS stressful for me! Ughhh!🤦🏾‍♀️

Wow. I ordered my graphite 13 max during pre-order and 12 hrs later I ordered my wife’s gold 13 Max. They both had same ship date by Sep 28. I got mine yesterday but the other one is still processing with same late shipment date. I feel very lucky while typing from it right now. 👍🏻😎

Are they sure the delay is not caused by the ridiculous power outages that's happening in China? Rumor has it China's electricity regulations and outages will last till may be March.
