Placed my order in the Mexico Pre-sale last night. It is supposed to arrive on October 8th. We'll see.
What time did the Mexico presale start? Apple chat told me it started at 6AM Friday and I got up early and saw it was already active at 5:30. The dates had already slipped to an Oct. 21-26 delivery day for the blue Pro Max. Hoping it's a little earlier!

Supply is constrained due to Covid and component partners in Vietnam closing for several weeks
In any case if you want an iPhone 13 , any model for the holidays think about ordering it now

Ordered my 13 max yesterday from ATT website and have an estimated ship date of Oct 12-18. They have already taken the money for the tax which I believe they would only do when preparing for shipment, correct? So who knows, I could get it earlier but there’s no doubt these phones will be hard to get very shortly with everything going in the world.

Thanks. At least I'll know that for next time! Enjoy your new phone! I'll be visiting my local Apple reseller and see it they have any in stock on release day this Friday.

I ordered a 13 Pro with the 1TB storage on launch day, but several hours after the orders started. I was told mine would ship by mid October, but now they updated my order to show it shipped already and is expected to be here on Monday. Obviously, this one is coming directly from China. My guess about these shortages are that they're reflecting the time you have to wait to order one direct from China, if that order goes out to them now. Most likely, they provided a really large amount of the product already but it went to cellular providers like AT&T and Verizon, as well as ensuring local Apple retail stores received a large inventory, on top of all the initial orders via Apple that shipped out direct to customers like me.

So while supply constraints are a real thing and Apple may not be able to sell as many as the demand would otherwise allow? I'm thinking most people wanting one can get their hands on one without huge difficulty.
So I ordered my 1TB 13 pro max the day after pre-orders and got mine on Friday. Weird.

Thanks. Have doubts I’ll actually be getting it on Friday - currently the site shows no delivery date on my order and doesn’t even shows “preparing for shipment”.

Hope you get yours soon! I even have a shortcut for check my apple orders on the Home Screen. I guess I'll stop checking for awhile, given you're not seeing anything yet!

Yes mine shows a range of dates from Oct. 21 to 26. Amazon was a good idea, I should have done the same but they don't have the model and size I want available anymore.

Finally mine has changed to "Preparing for shipment" Status, with a delivery date of Oct 8th. Hopefully they are shipping the Mexico preorders from a warehouse in the US, otherwise I don't think how it can get here in Oct 8th if it's coming from China.

There’s no difference hardware wise. An iPhone is exactly the same where ever you buy it from - from Apple or your cell phone carrier.

While true in terms of answering @ElbowsLow's question, do remember this is not universally true in the global scope. There are a couple different models with different 5G/LTE bands split up by different countries.

Until recently there were also different models for different carriers within the US, though it was more a CDMA/GSM split. The progression though has been towards unified models and the landscape is much better now than it used to be.

European iPhone 13/13 Pro Max (Model A2638/A2643) is the worst iPhone.

The US version has more 5G bands. The China version has a dual physical SIM instead of eSIM.

If I go to the US with T-Mobile, my 13 Pro Max can only use 1 band which is n41. I don't know if that's their main band for 5G but it's sad that I may find myself in a 5G area but can't use it because it's the wrong band.

Even worse now. Ordered a 128GB Pro yesterday for a Nov 8th-15th delivery, thats 5 weeks. Absurd. I'll probably end up canceling it and waiting for the 14 if it doesn't show up in the next few weeks.

For those of you in Mexico, Amazon Mexico had a new arrival of iPhone Pro Max’s. They have all 4 colours in 128, 256 and 512 configurations. Managed to get a Sierra Blue 512 model for delivery tomorrow.

Check your local stores, even if the websites say they are out of stock. I called my local Cricket wireless store and they were able to get me a 128GB Pro within a few hours. Picked it up and cancelled my Nov 8-15 Apple order.
