I've only had my iPad 4 for a few months but seeing this makes me want to sell it and buy the air. One of my complaints with the full sized iPad was the weight and the bezel on it was too big.

There's been one 6 month upgrade since the iPad 1. A student of history you are not.

Tablet game has changed since iPad 1. They have to update more often just to keep up and/or stay ahead.

The new ipad looks great but i think rebranding it as "iPad Air" is silly and unnecessary. Will confuse consumers and lead to a perception of more fragmentation. They should streamline their products, not complicate the product line.

Faster and new design.

Great update for people with ipad 2/3.

If you got ipad 4 not such a good update but that's why lots of people waited off.

You'll be able to buy the iPad Air on November 1st, and the iPad Mini with retina will be some time later in november. it doesn't say the exact date i don't think.

Looks great and I'd buy it if I didn't already have an iPad 3. However, I'll wait until next year when the new iPad will presumably have touch ID.

I can't believe they didn't include it this year.

Hmm, not sure it's worth upgrading if its only running an A7. If an iPhone can run a A7 they could have put something more powerful in the iPad...

The iPad mini is a much better buy than the full sized same powered iPad air. Hell if it's glitchy on ios7 A7 in iphone 5S I imagine the iPad air will have more problems. Pretty disappointing. And still no flash on iPad!? What if I want to take a pic at night or just use flash for something else blah
