Wow, stunning, a piece of metal covered in green plastic...

Come on MacRumors, you can do a lot better then that surely? You exposed the complete ipod Nano 3rd gen press shots way before it's release, a video of a guy showing the entire casing of the iPhone 5, and now this.....?

Umm.. MacRumors doesn't go fishing for things. All they do is receive tips from people who find things on chinese websites.

You're giving them views even if you're just complaining... so they win.

I wonder if the Apple logo will be used as some sort of notification light? Probably not with it being on the back.

I'm guessing that dual flash is done then? Unless this back cover is for the 6C?

The hole for the flash is noticeably larger, suggesting to me that the new True-Tone LEDs will be a circle and a concentric ring, which would be more elegant than the adjacent pill-shaped arrangement of the 5S.

The Apple logo cut-out could be a window for the NFC antenna.

Exactly. I'm still hoping it's a fake/dummy though as those antenna lines are hideous.

Space Gray, Swamp Green.

As they pointed out, it's covered in a green protective film.

I'm hoping they won't be visible after the device is anodized (or whatever process they use). If they are, then I share your concern.

Nice to see Apple simply doing iterations on design rather then, I don't know, do something risky, innovative and interesting like everyone else?!?!??

Absolutely ugly and plain, looks like a toy, nothing will beat the iPhone 4 design and the build up that led up to it. Apple straight up got lazy and has no new unique ideas left in the tank, mailing this in for the sheeple who will buy it no matter what. Why bother when everyone will buy it.

Ahhh...there's only so much you can do with a 5" rectangle. Would you prefer they make it look like a band-aid/golf ball like that atrocious back of the Galaxy S5? Sometimes well enough is best left alone.

My slightly desperate hope is that the plastic we've seen (or think we've seen) in the antenna lines is a prototype/sample placeholder-part that will be replaced in the finished product by a high-resististivity formulation of Liquid Metal, giving us the first all-metal-backed iPhone with a subtle matt/polished two-tone finish.

:D

Looks fine to me minus the green color.

I hope we don't have the iPhone 6 C as the flagship device.

For what? No phone hardware will be mentioned, if any hardware at all. WWDC is all about development.

WWDC Hardware Announcements:

2003 - PowerMac G5
2004 - Cinema Displays
2005 - Transition to x86
2006 - Mac Pro; Xserve
2007 - iPhone; various iPods
2008 - iPhone 3G
2009 - iPhone 3GS; Spec updates to Macbook Pro, Mac Pro, and Macbook Air
2010 - iPhone 4
2011 - no significant hardware
2012 - Macbook Pro with Retina; spec updates for the rest of the Macbook line
2013 - New Mac Pro; Airport Extreme; Time Capsule; other spec updates

Can we please put this developer-only nonsense to rest now? WWDC Keynote is not exclusive to developer announcements only. WWDC Keynotes almost always have some major hardware announcement.

Does no one seriously notice the apple logo cutout? I've been wondering about it forever...

I thought it was a logo cutout as well, but the more I look the more I think it's just an odd light glare on the plastic causing it to look that way (with the logo being black).

edit: looking again, the angle of the shadows are consistent with the shadows being cast around the edges of the phone and do seem consistent with a cutout, and plus the shadows inside the "cutout" are consistent with the shape of the Apple logo as well. Really weird. Perhaps there will be a glowing Apple logo like on Macbooks?

Apple hasn't even announced iOS 8 beta yet, an iPhone 6 will NOT be announced at WWDC.

In regards to this leak, I'm not a fan of those antenna breaks. They are...thick

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing too but then that would be kind of annoying having doubled the line up again for a second year in a row. Last year we saw 2 new iPhones and this year 4? I think we can all conclude that we still have no idea what Apple plans to do anymore than we did 6 months ago.

With the logo cutout so big and talk of the new phone being sensor laden, my guess is that's where some type of sensor will be.

Can't forget MacBook Airs last year too.

If it's ready for WWDC, that would be super awkward for people in two year contracts with the 5. Mine isn't up til January!
