No, I don't want the illuminated logo. I don't want those thick antenna breaks. I don't want it to be that big and that thin. What I really want is the iPhone 5S to have the same specs of the iPhone 6. Not going to happen but I'd love that...

Because it sells POORLY !

WAY WAY WAY below expectations , you obviously don't understand anything about business.

You can't make 100 loaves of bread and sell one slice in a week and say your bread sells when it's already getting stale

All that means is that the higher margin iPhone 5S is selling more than the 5C. I don't think Apple is crying about that.

You realize the last two quarters were Apple's highest ever, right?

The 5C clearly didn't contribute to breaking those records... nor did the 4S. So it must have been the 5S

That's nothing to be ashamed of. In fact... I think Apple would prefer to sell more 5S than any of their other iPhone models. And they do... the flagship iPhone 5S makes up the majority of iPhone sales.

Samsung... on the other hand... isn't so lucky when it comes to their flagship phones. Samsung sold 85 million smartphones last quarter... but do you think the majority of them were the flagship Galaxy S5 ?

Hell no. Samsung's volume comes from mid and low-end phones. Hooray!

This is one piece of aluminum. The antenna breaks are placed in some kind of indent. It will be an awesome design! And the logo will be not illuminated... the cutout enables that the antenna can additionally work through it.

The bigger, The better

Bring it on! Faster processor, bigger screen, optical stabilization! Soon, all of my sexting can be taken to the next level.

imagine those cuts on the back glow in the dark or illuminates with a bluish light like torn legacy :p it would look nice on the black version of the iPhone :p

Thats an iPod shell, not iPhone. Apple wouldnt go back to a single flash instead of 2, thats going back in time vs moving forward. Also the bands, thats another step back in design. NOT AN IPHONE

WWDC Hardware Announcements:

2003 - PowerMac G5
2004 - Cinema Displays
2005 - Transition to x86
2006 - Mac Pro; Xserve
2007 - iPhone; various iPods
2008 - iPhone 3G
2009 - iPhone 3GS; Spec updates to Macbook Pro, Mac Pro, and Macbook Air
2010 - iPhone 4
2011 - no significant hardware
2012 - Macbook Pro with Retina; spec updates for the rest of the Macbook line
2013 - New Mac Pro; Airport Extreme; Time Capsule; other spec updates

Can we please put this developer-only nonsense to rest now? WWDC Keynote is not exclusive to developer announcements only. WWDC Keynotes almost always have some major hardware announcement.

You do realize that all those iOS device releases at WWDC happened BEFORE they switched to a fall release schedule right? And no iOS devices have been announced or launched at WWDC SINCE they switched to a fall release schedule right?? So no, it is not absurd to think that no iOS hardware will be announced or released at WWDC. On the contrary it's absurd to think the opposite.

Got any numbers to back up your claim.

Actually, I personally think part of the reason Apple released the iPhone 5c is so they can have semi-annual iPhone releases... Updated iPhone in spring (the flagship phone), iPhone c in fall with nearly identicle specs as the iPhone released in spring, iPhone s in spring, etc. etc. Maybe not this exact order but you get the basic idea. With competition releasing phones every couple months they need to be more relevent than once a year.

I hope this is the first iPhone to mimic the macbook pro with a illuminated apple logo, that would actually make me happy. Though I have no reasoning for this...

Man, If thats accurate, its gonna be one frickin' ugly looking iPhone. Cases are a wonderful thing!! :)

At this stage it's almost impossible to call it ugly. I love the new curved edge design aesthetic myself, it reminds me of the iPhone 3G but in metal. One can only imagine how the full product will look especially wrapped in green protective plastic. Are you a TROLL?

In a fit of wild speculation with no basis in reality...
Liquid metal shell
"Antenna breaks" are actually something to do with the "1 meter wireless charging"
Apple logo cut out is used as an indicator for NFC

Better Be Bigger Or Many Going Android

I have been a apple fan since the early 90's was a Apple Var and still have a old apple //e!. I made lots of money with apple stock numerous times. I find my sentiments reflect a large number of friends and people. If this phone doesnt come out at least the size of the Galaxy 5s and Note 3 I am gone. I keep hearing the same thing over and over and I agree. People want a larger phone and not last years tech. I am praying Apple will really do something to leapfrog Samsung because sadly I am about to cut loose and start converting my entire household's products. They dont need a new model every month but I'm feeling the Iphone is turning into a relic.

On the other hand, iOs developers really need to know how the larger screens and choice of screen sizes should be handled, or the 6 will launch with apps that don't make best use of the screen, so there's a very good reason for Apple to announce at least the screen resolutions at WWDC this time round.

My guess is that this leak is a large screen iPod (hence no dual flash), and developers will be encouraged to develop for it's new screen resolution, giving developers time to prepare for an Autumn launch, and Apple time to sort out things like sapphire production and antennas.

Nice to see Apple simply doing iterations on design rather then, I don't know, do something risky, innovative and interesting like everyone else?!?!??

Absolutely ugly and plain, looks like a toy, nothing will beat the iPhone 4 design and the build up that led up to it. Apple straight up got lazy and has no new unique ideas left in the tank, mailing this in for the sheeple who will buy it no matter what. Why bother when everyone will buy it.

While I agree the 4/4s was the peak of phone design, how the hell is "everyone else" innovating with design? Samsung's has the same cheap plastic design for years. HTC has nice design lately but it looks inspired by the iPhone 5, isn't too innovative. The only other good design I can think of is the Nexus 4, which was inspired by the 4/4s with the glass back.

haha no joke..

lawd help us if it has those antennae breaks.. not gonna happen, Joni hates fugliness, so it ain't gonna happen.

No fingerprint sensor and home button moved to the back apple logo so full front size display without shiutting annoying physical buttons. :):)
