That's just dumb. I don't get the humor. You heard it here first: the iPhone 8 will feature a giant super-elliptical screen on the back for you to place the app icon of your choice!

Further plot twist: it's actually an iPhone Mini, with a regular size home button and touchID sensor on the back.Plot twist: that's actually a giant TouchID sensor.
I am very curious on how Phil will sell this - here are the two 'good' 7s models and then here is the 'best' iphone ever - iphone 8 (or edition or whatever)
Probably just better component/logicboard arrangement.Serious question...
Is there a benefit of the vertical camera setup? Or is this just for sake of saving space along the top, on the inside?

You could do the same with a Galaxy phone..Average Joes dont care or know about the latest tech.People will buy it regardless so Schiller doesn't need to pitch it. The last three generations are pretty much the same.
Blah vertical camera is ugly.
Serious question...

I think it's just a re-alignment of components to maximize the footprint. The camera sensor would now include a flash between the lenses so it's a smaller sensor to make room for more stuff. And if there's any wireless charging coils or circuitry, that changes the layout from previous phones too. Add the possibility of removing bezels and integrating the Touch ID into the screen would radically change the layout too. It's hard to even compare this rumor to any previous iPhone layouts.Serious question...

That doesn't make sense. I use both cameras on my 7+ for portrait mode and hold the phone in both landscape and portrait orientations. Same effect either way.The "proper" way of taking photos and recording video, especially for AR and VR, is by holding the phone horizontally. The cameras may have been designed this way for practical, horizontal usage.
Yes, but an augmented reality live pass through of your environment won't work as well if both the cameras are on the horizontal as they'll both be on one side.

I know you're joking, but that would be interesting actually. If the entire back will be glass anyway, they could just put a giant invisible Touch ID sensor on the back to unlock. I'd prefer it to be embedded in the screen, but that would be a good alternative.Plot twist: that's actually a giant TouchID sensor.
Why do you keep saying small 4mm bezel? That's hardly any smaller than the side bezels are on the current models.
