claim or assert that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically without proof that this is the case: [with clause] : he alleged that he had been assaulted | [with object and infinitive] : the offenses are alleged to have been committed outside the woman's home | he is alleged to have assaulted five men.
• (usually be alleged) suppose or affirm to be the case: the first artifact ever alleged to be from Earhart's aircraft.

Definitely a bogus drawing. It serves no purpose (if it was real). No dimensions, no nuthin. It doesn't do anything. A drawing that accomplishes nothing.
Why would an engineer draw this?
FAKE

I bet we can't wait for the pre order day just to see the shipment pushed to November or December and then you have to see the dreaded words " PROCESSING ITEMS " in your order status for the next two months or so and While in the mean time a friend of yours will tell you that he or she just recently preordered the phone from Verizon and will get it in a week. Lmaoooooooooo!

Touch ID on the back eh hmmmm..... don't think I'd want that on a smaller device. And I see the screen size has now shrunk from the widely rumoured 5.8" to 5.5" then. Could be an interesting design.

FTS!!! I want 7s RUMORS!!!!

Their is no iPhone 7S, it will be the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Otherwise you would have heard something by now..

This all make sense now to me just like "aha" moment. Since more people are now recording vertical videos the design fits well to the current trend. Apple is really smart this is going to be revolutionary.

It's not like modern engineers draw schematics using paper and pencils. The schematics are actually computer models which you can display in different modes including the one without any dimensions.

Or it'll be a spec bump and price cut like the Apple Watch Series 1.

Macrumors doesn't cater to specific rumors that you believe are real or want. They report anything Apple related, let alone we don't even know if this iPhone to be called a "7S" or the iPhone 8.

Am I the only one who has been forever annoyed by the extreme oval cutout for the dual lens camera. So out of place. It is fine to have two cameras, but could they please at least attempt something like this shown below , or if possible fit two cameras into the smallest circular cutout possible to contain both. Just looks awful, and is so far from Apple's previous design standards.

Then... the nightmare

When compared to this it is just an atrocity

Hope so :)

I would gladly take an aluminum two-piece shell (glass screen and back aluminum housing) over a three-piece shell (glass screen, metal sides, glass back) as long as the aluminum model had wireless charging.

As much as I like glass backs, the glass design shows smudges way too easily and are more prone to breaking.

...Eh, I'll take what they give us. I'm sure either one will impress. Just no more micro-abrasions, please.
I agree with you, I like the aluminum design very much too, although the glass design looks great. We'll have to wait until glass is out again to make the aluminum return. Or even something different?

The first one IS a nightmare. The actual real camera bump is fine in my opinion but the reason they increased the bump is because of the additional camera lens the iPhone 7 and 7 plus offer. Apple didn't make a big feature out of it to distract from the bump's increase and softened the matter even more with praising the unibody like cut out of the camera system. I'm still surprised that no tech website has said anything about the bumps increase due to the additional lens although I view them every single day.

Looks like it is two layers superimposed. Check out the backward text in the boxes at the lower right. That's part of a front-facing component.

Yes and the Apple is backward if it's a rear view, so they conflict. It's bogus.

What's a single advantage of a proprietary wireless charging system over the existing one again?

There isn't one. There was no advantage to removing the headphone jack either. Not to anybody other than Apple anyway.

I honestly think they used to be about making the best product, you cant say that about much of the stuff they make now.

There seems to be a lot of people who think this is going to be something revolutionary, I don't think Tim Cooks Apple are capable of it. Expecting something that resembles the Samsung S8 maybe without the rear finger print sensor and wireless charging. Basically nothing that hadn't been done two years ago.
