Amazing news. But no Airs.... I wonder (doubt it) if the M3 has heat issues?
Think it might be because the Air is a lower-cost product while 3nm currently is expensive and hard. Could make sense to launch the Pro and Max before since you can just ask the target audience for $300+ more and be done with it.

Although very surprising that large chips are ready to go this early, if recent rumors are correct.

why would anyone assume it has heat issues? aint released yet, zero leaks. chill out and relax.

M3 iPad Pro rumors were flying around, if its goon enough for a iPad, its good enough for a MBA. just gonna take time given the 3nm supply is expected to be limited at launch (ie. not enough capacity at TSMC just yet)

I can’t help but think there’s another reason for this update. Apple typically releases a product so quickly when there’s an issue with the current gen being compatible with an upcoming direction the company is moving in. I’m thinking AAA games will be announced as coming to Mac soon given the GPU improvements in the A17 that the M3 will be based off.

Judging by the availability of MBP 16” in London stores as of now, I would say that online orders for these new ones will be delivered from the 7th November whereas pick-up availability in stores starting from the 17th.

The M1 Max is fast there’s nothing I can’t do on it, yes the new chip will be faster and exports will be 35 seconds quicker but honestly that doesn’t matter, I want a new design or something big changing

What if this isn’t the Pro/Max MacBook? When Gurman said the 14” and 13” Pro are in short supply, what if the Base M3 MacBook Pro gets redesigned to be more like the Pro/Max MacBooks? Maybe it’s a way to get the 14” Pro, but not as ridiculously expensive as the Pro/Max versions?

I think they just want to have a yearly October update schedule for the M chip.

From the wallpaper, the MBP will double as an oven. Apparently the M3 Pro can get rather hot. That will be convenient now that winter is coming.
Unless you live in Australia or New Zealand, where Summer is coming.

atp they might just get rid of it. People will be fine with having just the 13 inch M1 Air, M2 Air and M3 Pro/Max.

If Apple don’t release M3 across the entire lineup next week they have had it as a company. How on earth are we expected to continue with our workflows on M2??

It’s so laggy, even in menus. Forget DaVinci Resolve. The websites are so laggy and dropped frames in YouTube are the last straw.

I’m going back to my Apple Newton. At least it scrolls as smooth as butter, and jelly just wipes off it. No Jelly Scrolling here
