Oh God, here comes all the brats who are allergic to change. You know, the same people who threw a pissy fit the last time The Mac saw a significant redesign with OSX. Now those same people are clinging on to the thing that they originally rejected when it was first shown in 2001.

Don't worry, you'll get over it, life will go on, and in another 10 years you'll start complaining when another redesign comes, and you refuse to give up this "flat" design being introduced today.

Isn't progress great? Those who don't accept it simply get left behind. I know, we are all wrong and the old style that's 10 years old is so much better and the new style lacks everything that made the old style great. We are all wrong and you're all correct. Keep living in that fantasy land.

I like this look, after the first weeks I got used to iOS7 and when I see iOS6 it seems very old and obsolete in both design and functionality.

I think most users whine too much about flatness, it is always a good thing to have the lastest OS for many reasons.

It’s a good thing to have the latest car that’s economical and safe. People will still moan about how it looks. I’d suggest how something appears is a large part of a buying decision. Things don’t have to be ugly to be functional.

Because retina res only shows up in 3d design right? Have you seen iOS 7 on a non-retina iPad? Your complaint makes no sense...

Exactly, minimal designs like iOS7 benefit more than retina. Otherwise you see just a lot of pixels.

Ok, the GUI was changed, but which improvements the OS will provide in terms of performance? Does it handle 4K@60Hz under Thunderbolt 1? Does it save RAM even better than Mavericks? Does it save more energy? Does it save our precious SSD storage?

THESE are the kind of questions that matter for Mac users.

Hold on there! These details will be released when the keynote actually begins (which is in a few hours!) All these questions and more will be answered when the time comes. Just be patient for a little more - details are a coming!

1. Can you give an example where this was actually proven or even suspected?
2. Just think about the effort needed to produce a number of these blurred images. How realistic do you think it is that someone would go through this process and submit it to a site where that person would have no share in any proceedings from ad revenue?

The same photo was posted to the forums here a couple days ago. Concept vs. real discussion somewhere.

The differences aren't that significant. I don't like iOS 7 at all and I refuse to upgrade my devices, but if this is how 10.10 looks I won't really mind. But I'm really afraid this build is too early and Apple may have ruined it since then.

Those images look pretty early build to me. I'll just wait and see what Apple presents tonight.

Either way I wouldn't mind going back to the Tiger dock. I remember when Leopard came out everyone was crying how horrible the 3D dock was.

Could that control cent thing from the left side be the new apple menu? It has a lot of apple menu items on it......

Did a lot of people reject the OS X Leopard UI changes at the time? I wasn't here then..

And now everyone wants to keep it. ;)

Haha, for the first time I'm actually going to avoid spoilers. I'm looking forward to what Apple are doing with OS 10.10 and now that the photos have been removed, I'd rather just wait for 6PM tonight to come around. :p

lol.. this made my day

a set of blurry photos for everyone to see.

Great, but i still can't make it out. The photos should of stayed up, since no one could tell anyway.

That would have been the polite thing to do.

Fake...blurry due to cut and paste...Photoshop...remember, this is a rumor site.

Must generate hype since most may be disappointed after viewing keynote...

Get ready for a lot of promises like before....

Nothing really happening until Fall....

You are exactly right. This panel converges the Apple menu and control center. In the panel, there is about this Mac on the top and shutdown/sleep/restart on the bottom. On the taskbar, click on top left button (Apple) and top right button (lines): control center and notification center. Two finger swipe from left and right: control center and notification center.

I genuinely don't think this is the real deal. Why would the OS be flattened, but the dock icons remain the same?

Looks like a photoshop job to me. Hopefully.

Exactly as predicted, closer to iOS but still functional as a desktop OS... Nicely done Apple!
I do hope they made the Dock background customizable, hate the current bright Dock in Mavericks, makes the icons and indicator lights unreadable...

It looks like they're trying to converge the look across all their platforms.

Won't be surprised if OSX touch happens soon too.
