Looking at the screenshots, there appears to be some website or page called iPassword - any idea what this could be?

There's also a tab name blocked out ... Wonder why?

I doubt it's real. Why is the date 24th March? I don't think its the final version that we are going to see today. Even the background is still from Mavericks and not Yosemite. And who invented the new terrible Finder icon?

It's just Fake!

That picture is blurry as hell and shows an ugly looking dock just like iOS 7's dock. It's real people. It's real. Jony strikes again!!

People like you do my head in. "Oh no, it's flat, it's horrible."

Get used to it, it's not going anywhere.

Luckily for me, I love it.

Also, one thing I noticed is the Airplane mode. Is that really relevant on a Mac?

Unless we're getting LTE enabled Macs.

Possibly (though I'm not sure I'm that bothered - I really only want one data contract).

However, the airline procedure has just changed. You now need to turn off equipment without an airplane mode during takeoff and landing; other equipment can stay on (in my most recent flight, they explicitly mentioned turning off laptops, but I don't think that's part of the regulation).
Not turning off my laptop is definitely useful.

I genuinely don't think this is the real deal. Why would the OS be flattened, but the dock icons remain the same?

Looks like a photoshop job to me. Hopefully.

Because it's old. The icons were probably of the last things to be rewritten.

Well... Every OSX ships with a new wallpaper. I see no reason it's not in those pictures. I call them fake (at least I very, very much hope so).

The 3D dock and the translucent menu bar were not well received.

That's funny... And not surprising. People hate change.

----------

Why have the dock looking like a version of Windows….???? deYikes! Come on' Apple, you can do better than that.

How exactly does it look like Windows? Windows doesn't even have a dock... I swear some of you have the strangest complaints.

The 3D dock and the translucent menu bar were not well received.

That is what made me want my first Mac i saw it and it just looked so nice.

I hate the look of the Dock in those pictures, and i hated the Dock look Pre OS 10.5.

Same as the Dock on iOS 7, it just looks wrong. :(

Get used to it, it's not going anywhere.

With that mentality, a Windows user would never switch to Mac (or anything). After-all, it's Windows. Get used to it, it's not going anywhere.

Personally, if you don't like it, don't use it and use something else. Never before have I heard such terrible advice just to stick on something you dislike posted with such sincerity.

Actually, having the dock as it is now, with a pseudo-3d perspective appearance and its back-most edge cutting through the icons in the dock is at odds with Apple's most recent design paradigm of minimalistic elements and uninterrupted content.

I am 100% for returning the dock to a clean line above the top of the icons which creates consistency across iOS and OS X and moves away from this pseudo skeuomorphic 3D depth.

We have moved beyond the age of trying to 'dumb things down' visually to make them appear like physical interfaces. Apple is embracing a fully digital UI that embraces technology as a new paradigm of its own, rather than trying to emulate the past.

Control Center and Notification Center are pointless.

I think Notification centre could be useful if they implemented it in a way that I'd never have to even look at my phone when I'm at my computer. Do iOS app developers have access to it? I'll give an example, I use whatsapp and have to constantly unlock my phone to reply to messages, I've found iMessage to be inconsistent too. If there's seamless integration it would be awesome.

The icons for Calendar and Weather in Notification Center appear to be from iOS 7.

Perhaps the icons in the dock will take on a new look.

Oh cool, Jony Ive discovered Tiger. Everything he makes software wise is ass backwards.

Next year 10.11 will come out and all the icons will look like OS 9. Because, you know, modern.

I'm liking these. Bring it on. Hated the 3D dock anyway. I still remember vividly people laughing when Steve announced it in Leopard. Control Centre is another nice addition especially with multitouch gesturing. As is the incorporation of iOS 7 style notification centre. The current black background is dull.

Mea gusta.

Speaking of which, why do people ask for things to be taken down. Its always a waste of time. Once it hits the web it's game over anyway.

Haven't they learned anythin'? Once something is uploaded to the internet, it can never be deleted. *whispers "never"*

You are exactly right. This panel converges the Apple menu and control center. In the panel, there is about this Mac on the top and shutdown/sleep/restart on the bottom. On the taskbar, click on top left button (Apple) and top right button (lines): control center and notification center. Two finger swipe from left and right: control center and notification center.

I actually don't mind that idea... As long as we don't loose functionality, it would be nice to swipe and get quick access to that stuff :p

Not turning off my laptop is definitely useful.

In NZ, I have a single data plan that is shared (at no additional cost) with 5 sim cards.

Because retina res only shows up in 3d design right? Have you seen iOS 7 on a non-retina iPad? Your complaint makes no sense...

Agreed: the point of retina is to allow me to deal with high-quality images/movies. Personally, I don't really care about the appearance of UI elements as long as they're clear. I do care about how easy the UI is to use, what I can do with it etc. There's not much of that revealed here, unfortunately (except the control centre, which I currently turn off).
