I can assure you nobody cares what phone you are using and nobody is assuming you are poor if you’re using an iPhone XR or 11. That’s ridiculous what you’ve written there. The corporate world is full of XR’s, 8+’s etc and nobodies wage packet is representative by the phone they are using. That sounds like your own insecurity to me.

It’s the lower classes and also school kids world that sees you as poor with what phone you use. Just like the clothes they wear.

I personally am most interest in the 11 as an X owner. It is an upgrade in every area except the screen. I can trade my X in for $400 and get the 128gb 11 for $350. I feel like it's an easy decision. I was going to hold off until 2020, but for that price I'll upgrade.

That’s probably why it’s not an issue for a 37 year old professional like myself then lol. To me school kids and teenagers are uncool and my associates don’t need to be impressed by my iPhone :p

Yep...I'm 45 today and I'm pondering the thought of the 11 Pro Max upgrade from my 8 Plus but it doesn't have a thing to do with trying to impress anyone. Nobody cares what phone I use and the feeling is mutual.

Wife and kid just upgraded to the XS Max and XR via a Verizon BOGO deal and she wants me to upgrade. Was watching the keynote last night and she's like "go for it. Happy Birthday."

I really don't know though. She loves the animojis and I've seen Face ID now but I'm not standing here saying "Oh, I have to have that." I'm really not. The camera looks nice but I have a dedicated camera in the Panasonic GH5 with some amazing lenses too.

4GB of RAM so they can kill iOS update support for it and the other 4GB devices in 4 years and people will just sit around quietly nodding that a phone can't live without 6-12 gigs and even when the iPhone with 12GB RAM has it's iOS support killed hilariously fast it will be accepted that it didn't have enough RAM or TFLOPS or whatever.
Bashing Apple for having a four year support window is lol considering what everyone else offers.

Speed boost, $100 cheaper, 1 hour more battery and an ultrawide camera. If you have a XR, maybe it isn't worth it. But if you are still on a 8 or less, it is quite a massive upgrade.

Plus, (it hasn’t been confirmed yet), but the 11R also has a Ram increase from 3GB to 4GB allegedly.

You can also say it's the iPhone for the rational and clever people and the Pro's are for the posers that needs to show everybody that money doesn't matter....

Ask yourself this question... What would Kanye West buy?

Let me better explain how I feel.
Bought, back in july the new LG V50, at first I had an offer for 1100£, but in the end got it for 840$.
The point is that I could have bought the LG G8, which is like the 11 compared to 11 Pro, for literally half the price. But I choosed the Pro version. Therefore this is my analogy regarding this thread.
Because after you'll purchase the 11 and have it in your hands and also have the extra 299$ in your pocket, wouldn't you regret that you have the money and an inferior product?

I don’t take a lot of photos, so having a lesser camera wouldn’t bother me, so I would have to decide whether a better display is worth $300 to me. To me I repeat to me it's not. Ironically I’ll probably get the 11 pro because it is smaller than the 11, and that has value to me, but if the 11 was smaller or the same size, I would buy the 11.

The biggest USP for the XR was the enormous battery life. That is not unique any more because the Pro´s have much improved in that regard. This is a little sad.....
Well, its a little sad that you had to compromise on battery life with phones that cost so much more than the XR, so this should make the "Pro" crowd happy. I still think the iPhone 11 represents a much better value than the Pro.

I'm honestly considering going from the XS Max to the 11 (non-Pro). Only thing I can think I will occasionally notice is the lack of "telephoto" lens.
Same but im worried ill hate the screen after being with OLED for 2 years

And as others have said the only scam is the 64gb base storage, they even knew this not mentioning it in the keynote

What's yours thoughts?
Make a decision to buy or not to buy.
Same thought I pass on to anyone that has any sort of issue with any sort of product.
If other people make a purchase decision for you, most of the time, you won't be happy with it because you didn't decide to spend your cash on it.

So now one has multiple decisions. Pro or not to Pro? What am I willing to pay for? Do I just buy something else?

I’m also a X user and I’m trying to decide between the 11 or the 11 Pro. Do you think the difference between the cameras is a big one, or will it be unnoticeable? Battery life and the camera matter to me but I don’t use them in a professional matter. I like to take holiday and family photos.

Unless you are some sort of professional photographer I cannot see the average Joe even scratching the surface for the differences between the two cameras. I point, I click, I shoot. I may do a little edit her and there, but it's generally just Live Photos to capture the moment and memory.

Go for 11 Pro. That's what I'll do if I were in the position to change my phone.

I can assure you professional photographers don’t use iPhone cameras for their work either :p

Also an X user here. Honestly I would just keep the X for one more year, skip this 'S' year and get the new design with 5G next year.

How is it a scam? From what I can see the 11 and Pro are very similar, except the Pro has a better screen and an extra camera lens.

And stainless steel, and better size, an maybe some software features. Rumors are also an extra 2GB of ram.

Just bought an LG v50 back in july. And it was not cheap. In fact over the 11. In fact I was prepared to pay 1100 £ on it. But the deal went off. See EE UK deal if you are from UK. Read my posts above. Or maybe read the whole thread to see some opinions. Not necessarily mines.

That’s doesn’t make the 11 a scam, in fact I think it makes it more difficult to decide which one to get. Unless you’re a professional photographer are we really going to notice the extra lens?

I don't think it's a scam at all. I do think Apple should eliminate the 64GB choices on all models and make 128GB the minimum. It's been discussed and griped about before (12 months ago to be exact!) but it really does feel like a way to soft-force people to pay up for the next tier of storage. The margin on the must be enormous for Apple.
Activate a 200GB iCloud account and your photos will save there. Ever since I did that 64GB has been more than enough.

Hello, Dave! It's not just that lens. It's more. Read above, I've edited.
I also had to decide between v50 and G8, and the G8 was half the price. But I went for v50. I'm in another boat, but so similar to apple's.
