+2, by the way the Droid doesn't rule anything around here .

Yes, we all want to save some money but we also have to admit that it's money of them to even offer us any kind of discount. For all we know this case could be a better product at full price and cheaper than it's competitors. We will have to wait and see.............What's a Droid?

Alright guys.. i hear you guys out there loud and clear.. i will have an exclusive mac rumors coupon for here only, to the first 50. Stay tuned.

I think a fair solution is to open a thread at a pre-set time here on MacRumors where everyone who posts in the thread gets a discount ...

but there are conditions:

One minute window. To qualify for a discount, your post must be timestamped within the selected minute -- no excuses, no whining.

Graduated discount levels. First 10 posts get 35% off; next 10 get 30% discount; next 10 get 25% off; next 10 get 20% off; remainder get 10% discount. All plus ship, one discount per person.

Anyone who tries multiple orders loses discount.

So, on October XX at 12 noon, MR members have one minute to get a post posted in the topic. Any post showing 12:01pm is out of luck.

Or something else along those lines?

this is dumb, he's not running a charity, and that is a stupid amount of work. First 50 is more than gracious enough.

Although, not exactly sure why anyone wants a metal case anyway, all of them will degrade the signal noticeably for 95% of users.

.
Lol +1
like they really expect him to go thru a ridiculously convoluted procedure just because they are whining for a discount

i agree. i didn't like the first 50 macruomr + fb discount becuz i know fb promotions spread like wildfire, macrumor users will be lucky to get even 1 coupon.

offer first 50 to macrumors ONLY members ensures all the coupons goes to macrumors users, like first promised. even if i don't end up getting one of the coupon codes i feel better about a company that keep their promise.

So any word on shipping cost to Canada ? As well what type of supply are you going to have? Im hoping see to see a case by the end of Oct in my hands, but I'm thinking if I don't check ever hour that I'll miss the window and be on months long back order list, is there a post or list of pics of what your intial offerings are going to be?

Hoping this comes true

Winky :)

I think these are made to not really effect the signal.

One without sides? I haven't heard of this before what will the sides be made of?

it was my understanding that alumacase was making a metal case where the sides were somewhat open, in attempts to reduce signal loss. I could be wrong though, there's so many metal cases out there right now.

ahh gotcha, I guess that makes sense.

Big dilemma which to go with. Aluma has been impressive with all the data he's been willing to share here...and while not that much is known about Fusionwerkz, I do know that they put the sabre on hold to redesign it to avoid reception issues, and that their customer service responded in under 24 hours.

Certainly both have, at least in terms of their desire to assist their customers, put both element and atomic to shame (btw, my atomic case which shipped on Tuesday last week still isn't here...fairly certain they must have shipped "next month air" :p)

I wanna order a case NOW!!!!! who's gonna be first, fusionwerkz or alumacase???

almost ordered a karas kustoms one lastnight, still might...damn cases!!!

That's Easy. Buy both and put one on eBay if you don't like it. Someone else will want it for sure.

Mr Alumacase? Any updates today on eta?

Winky.

As well and idea on shipping for us canucks?

Amazing that for a company who claims to be in business for 15 years it's taking this long . I do admit from what I have seen it looks good.

"ABOUT US

For 15 years we have taken the ordinary and made it extraordinary. Form and function, precision and luxury and to be a vanguard, defining the trend, rather than to follow is what drives us. Our passion for design and style coupled with our love for technology has led us to create our latest creation designed to protect what we cannot live without. Using materials like carbon fiber and aluminum in new and innovative ways are once again defining this newest trend.

We are a company who believes that dedication, quality and individuality are what connects us to you. We are introducing a lifestyle that can be afforded by all. Alumacase is a place to shop, to seek intelligently crafted products, and where your individuality can be seen.

Welcome to Alumacase, Welcome to Our World!"

I hope they are right & give us patient consumers a quality buying/purchasing process. BTW from the look of the device it almost seems to be a slider case of sort. Waiting patiently but jumpy at the knees :D

While I have faith that it's not...

Anybody else find it ironic that a competitor to the element "vapor" is feeling a little bit like vaporware? :)

I know it's just a start up dealing with getting started up, but the putting off the release date etc sounds SO much like companies we've heard from in the past (my personal favorite being the guitar rising guitar software).

Anyway, back to eagerly waiting for updates!

I just order one. I had originally signed up on there site and was able to login and order one. Some other people must have as well as my order number was 152. Good luck.
