Alumacase

I think it's fair to offer any discount at all, even if it's limited.
Their Facebook page doesn't seem to get as much attention as these threads.
Alumacase could give MacRumor members a 10% discount but some of you would be like "WTF! only 10%"?
I think $59 + $5 shipping is reasonable (though we have yet to handle the product) and it's better than the competition's price strategy.

I think free shipping for MacRumor members would be a nice gesture. ;)

Lol, so you are waiting for the Velcrocase? or maybe the Magic Putty case? I'll forward the message to Steve Jobs, that in designing the next iPhone version 5, the unit should not require tools or screws to be held together, since it's dumb (aka too much work and effort for lazy people).

I can't wait for the discount. However, I'm afraid I might miss it. After waiting so long for it and missing it would be truly sad. Can you give us a heads up on the day you'll be releasing those?

Hahaha... I can only imagine that's the only thing that's gonna happen with bling-ed out cases of precious metals and precious stones. No one will buy, just look.. well, except for maybe those that originally purchased the "I Am Rich" app.

Well the fact that he said precious stones and not semi-precious stones is making me think...diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds as those are the only true precious stones.

I bet it'll be beautiful, but too expensive for me to justify.

After the GearDiary review of the Vapor, and considering this case is made of the same material & similar design...

I'm waiting for Larry Greenberg's review of the Alumacase, which is promised here:

They just send you the case and stones and a special kit and you put the stones on yourself. You should have enough left to bedazzel your new jeans

I think 50 codes should last a few minutes. :) unless there are a lot of lurkers who don't post that they are interested.
 
These mom and pop shops seem to all leave a lot to be desired in terms of service. Element had it's well documented issues, atomic gives you 3 days to return and wants you to foot the bill, and now Alumacse promises a special coupon code for macrumors and it suddenly changes to the 1st 50 people on here and facebook, which is crap IMO.
 
Completely agree. 50 people wont last but a few minutes plus i don't even have facebook. So I'll just keep my element or stick with my apple bumper. Im not buying any other metal cases until I see PROOF that they work 100% like they should and by then the discount will be gone. Oh well, I guess they just lost a customer.

Wow some of you will bitch about anything. He/they don't have to offer any discount codes.... he/they are doing it out of the goodness of their heart yet you **** on them for it. FFS get a life.
